 Now for those of you watching this video as it went live, so that'd be the 10th, the 6600 XT will be available tomorrow on the 11th, and naturally you can expect to pay a hefty premium over the $380 US MSRP, though AMD is telling me that they expect models to be available at the MSRP and that there is pretty good supply of the 6600 XT, but of course we've heard the pricing supply promises before, so yeah, we'll take that with a grain of salt for now. If we use the 6700 XT as a price guide, you can expect to pay around $600 US for the 6600 XT, and it appears as though most of you were anticipating that price based on the results of a poll we ran on Twitter last month. The vast majority of you expected pricing to land between $600 and $700 US, which was the lowest price bracket that we went with, above the MSRP. Anyway, I'll save the detailed retail pricing discussion for later when examining the cost per frame data

 Now this sounds pretty crazy but I have been told again by retailers that there will be 6600 XT models available on the 11th for as little as $590 Australian which is the RRP recommended retail price so what us Aussies call the MSRP. And then premium models will be priced at $750 which is still exceptionally good. For reference the RTX 3060 starts at $800 AUD but right now there's no stock anywhere and if you want one in stock you'll have to pay $1,100 AUD and quite shockingly the 3060 Ti LHR models are around $50 cheaper but that still sees them priced north of $1,000 Australian. Please note I am using Australian prices as I have good contacts with local retailers but the point is it does sound like the 6600 XT could be significantly cheaper than both the RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti and if that is the case it'll be worth buying and really a highly successful release

 Basically everything now hinges on pricing and availability but if what I'm hearing is true then the 6600 XT might actually end up being a sought after GPU despite the various shortcomings mentioned in this review. With graphics cards pricing and availability really is everything. Anyway we will keep an eye on 6600 XT pricing and we do have a lot more 6600 XT content coming up and of course Tim will also update you with a GPU pricing guide later this month so make sure you're subscribed for all of that. And that is going to do it for this day one review of the 6600 XT

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Review: Worse Than Expected, But ...

AMD cuts GPU prices at the right time to pull ahead of Nvidia

$540 when I bought it, $400~ now

 Welcome to check it out we're not going to go through all that again, the die size is significantly cut down. That means that amd can put more dyes per wafer and should have higher yield per dot standard metrics from fabrication facilities. Is that as the die shrinks? It gets easier to get higher yield, so there are fewer failures, fewer rejects, so therefore, you get not only more units per wafer but more good units. Out of those that you create as a percentage, so that's the upside to making a smaller die

 The price to performance increase is simply not exciting enough to in any other generation, make a strong recommendation for this card. It'S fine. It does well overall, but it's not exciting and in this market, that's all you need to sell all you need. Is it's fine in some of these games we're seeing a one percent dollar increase for a one percent performance increase which is not progress, it's stagnation, and so that's why we're met on it thanks steve, in other words, at best the conclusion was meh you'll buy it

 This is a 32cu card. It is navi 23, so it is physically. Smaller as silicon than the previous navi, 21 dies for, say the 6700 xt and so forth and we'll be reviewing it for value, performance, thermals and most of the other stuff you'll need, but we're keeping this one kind of short, because it's a fairly simple product review And not for the best reasons before that, this video is brought to you by arctic and the liquid freezer 2 line of liquid coolers, which tested among the best in our thermal charts for cpu coolers. The arctic liquid freezer series has had continual advancement, since our original review, with updates in the mounting kit, including an amd, offset bracket for better thermals and a longer warranty arctic also has its mx-5 thermal compound available on the market

Mid-Range is Dead: AMD RX 6600 XT Review & Benchmarks (PowerColor Fighter)

 I’m now just a bit concerned about using the wraith cooler and the standard fan setup in the case. I’m not getting overly high temps though - more about the longevity of the components.

 The MSRP was around 379 which should be its price, plus a little for the heatsink and fans since it's the Gaming X model. I originally got an MSI gtx 1660 super Ventus and it was loud and the fans had no silent mode. So this Gaming X model is much better.

Very Quiet

 It's a PCI Express 4.0 times 8 card. Over on the left, we're pairing it with a Ryzen 9 59RX and 32 gigabytes of RAM, that's 3200 megahertz CL14. And let's get right into the first game

 No. All right, it's fine. Stop pumping into me. What the heck? See, guys, I have my reasons to call it Cyberbug

 I'm going to be testing the A-Fox, another one of those foxes, Radeon RX 6600 XT. It's just a normal 6600 XT made by A-Fox. A-Fox is not really a very well-known brand here in Europe and the United States and stuff, but they're starting to introduce their stuff into the markets here. This GPU has a 160 watt TDP with an 8-pin power connector right there, by the way

 So that's a common thing with 6600 XTs. As long as the frequency is high enough and it's performing like a 6600 XT, which it is from what I tested so far, it's fine. All right, so let's talk a little bit about this beast. I'm really looking forward to this because on paper it should be just slightly faster than a GTX 1080 Ti

. Thankfully global illumination is not really common yet, but it's worth testing them all the same.. None of these results are especially bad to be clear

 Like Final Fantasy 14 and F1 2021, where even with Ray tracing off the Radeon loses out by about 10 %, putting it closer to the cheaper RTX 3060., This gets even worse when Ray tracing is enabled, and especially for a global illumination title like Metro Exodus, where We see the diminished Ray Accelerator count really bring the pain.. Thankfully global illumination is not really common yet, but it's worth testing them all the same

 All our games will be running 1080P max settings with Ray tracing turned to minimum, where applicable. Starting off with some surprising, wins Forza. Horizon 4 and Assassin's Creed, Valhalla, put AMD's mid tier GPU, ahead of NVIDIA's RTX 3060 Ti by about 15 to 25 %, which is absolutely fantastic. Considering the cards are priced so close together
