 Another new title where the radeon gpus are currently dominating is dirt five and again we're looking at another situation where the 6800 is as fast as the rtx 3090 at 1440p, making it 33 faster than the rtx 37e. Even at 4k, the 6800 remained dominant matching the rtx 3080 to come in almost 30 percent ahead of the rtx 3070.0, both of which are questionable features and, in our opinion, aren't major selling points. Unless you play a specific selection of games, ray tracing performance is even worse with the rtx 3070 and while dlss 2

 That means we're talking about a 27 performance improvement over the rtx 3070 at 1440p. It doesn't look quite as incredible at 4k, but even so here it was still 12 percent faster than the rtx 3070 and just 14 slower than the rtx 3080. Let'S talk about the test system and then, of course, jump into the blue bar graphs. As i know, that's what most of you are here for once again i'll be testing with my ryzen 9 3950x test system with 32 gigabytes of ddr4 3200 cl 14 memory running in a dual channel: dual rank configuration okay, let's get into the results once again i'll, Be starting with the godfall results here, the 6800 was just three percent slower than the rtx 3080, so at least in this title, we're now getting 3080 light performance for under 600 us that also meant it was 18 faster than the rtx 3070 and just 15 slower Than the 6800 xt, the margins seen at 4k are a little less impressive, but even so the 6800 was still 11 faster than the rtx 3070 and just 14 slower than the 6800 xt and rtx 3080. overall, a great result for amd, and it wouldn't take too Much to see the 6800 consistently rendering over 60 fps at 4k here it managed to just edge out the rtx 3070 at 1440p and watch dogs legion, though, with just 2 fps separating them

 The 30 70 or 30 80 they're far far away in the lead, and that's because nvidia's on its second generation of ray tracing hardware, and we talked about the hardware solutions in our ampere architecture. Deep dive. If you want to learn more about that, but uh amd is just starting out for rasterization performance. The 6800 non-xt is actually extremely competitive with the 30-70 to the extent that uh, if we just forget the pricing at all for a second and they're priced equally, and you don't care about real-time rate chase and performance or optics or anything like that, then well, we'd, Probably say get the 6800 because it is outperforming the uh 30-70 in almost all of these gaming scenarios

 There may be one or two times that it flipped, but for the most part, nvidia is in the lead, and sometimes the lead is insane depending on again, if it's like minecraft or it's fully path, traced, uh plus nvidia's, got the existing ecosystem under it right now, Because it got there first, so that's what we'd say to do. If you want rtrt performance, if you don't really care about that, and you just want a good card for 1080p 1440p, whatever sort of quote-unquote normal gaming, then the 6800 is worth considering. However, an extra 80 dollars - it's, it's probably still worth considering it's just the value's a little bit harder to justify when you consider that the feature set is slimmer versus the competing rtx card. But if you don't care about those features, then they shouldn't weigh on your decision

 So these older style reference designs, where it's just a massive vapor chamber and some fans, but regardless that's something for future pieces. We'Re going to be testing this primarily with a focus against the rtx 3070 and that's because it's what it's most directly positioned against, but the pricing has it more in between the 30 70, the 3080, so we've got everything in there. Ultimately, an 80 difference is enough. Where it might not be feasible for some people to stretch this far but we'll talk about whether or not we think you should try to reach the budget throughout this review, starting with our frequency validation plot

AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series Graphics Card Review Megathread

  The die on these are actually pretty sizeable so it's impressive how cool it stays in a case.  This card will overclock well and slight undervolt will yield a great experience. Oh and 16GB of VRAM. You're keeping yourself pretty future proof

 you won't need resolution scaling with this card. It draws about 15% less power than some custom 3070s and produces a higher framerate as well.  The die on these are actually pretty sizeable so it's impressive how cool it stays in a case.  This card will overclock well and slight undervolt will yield a great experience

  It blows away a lot of Nvidia's offerings for similar price. I know they have DLSS but..

It stays perfectly cool during gaming. The heatsink and fans are more than enough.  I'm very impressed with this card @599.99

I'm in love with this card

 It'S the amd 6800 radeon graphics card, it's toasty because we just got done testing it in our test bench and we've got some exciting results to show you guys. But more importantly, we want to talk about how it stacks up against the competition which, in our case, we considered the 3070 as the competition, because it's more or less in the same price bracket. Now india prices are not yet available at the time of us. Recording this video, but if they do become available by the time we make this video live later in the day we will put them in the description below and if we do find links to buying these cards, we'll put those in the description below as well

 So if you do get this founder's edition card, you will have that red light in there. But more importantly, the fans on this are super quiet and in some of the testing that we did, even though the card got extremely hot and like it's still toasty. But the cooling performance was great and it managed to keep the gpu levels of temperature really low and, more importantly, we couldn't hear the fans even with an open chassis. So the fans are super

 We want to see how it performs in the higher end cards, but the 6800 does look out to be a good performer, so we did try gaming in 4k and we got a good, impressive results where frame rates stayed well above the 60 fps bracket for 4k Gaming on all games, including some of the games that are brand new, like dirt 5 and gold fall in godfall. We did see the amd cas, which is their contrast, adaptive sharpening, which does make the graphics look that much nicer and cleaner on the edges. There'S also variable shading in dirt 5, and some of the lighting detail that you get on this game is pretty impressive. Again

 Oh [, Music ]. So you saw in those benchmarks. It is uh fighting very well with the 3070, in certain cases, almost matching, but in certain cases, even defeating the 3080, but again for what it's worth and for what amd was placed at in the last generation of graphics card. If their entry level card is being picked up against the 3070, and we still have a 30 60 coming out later from nvidia supposedly so if this matches that level of performance and even beats it in certain areas, what you're looking at is an impressive result from Amd'S lineup, of course, i'm going to be checking out the 6800 xt and the 6900xt in a later video as well, but because we are looking at the entry level graphics card, this is turning out to be some impressive performance
