 So today's review is gonna cover what is likely gonna be the most popular Ryzen H series APU among buyers. There's lots of interesting new features in AMD's Ryzen 4000 lineup, but we have lots of benchmarks to get through. So I'm not gonna spend any time on them. Check our previous coverage if you're interested

 Meanwhile, the Ryzen 7 4800H has just seven compute units clocked at 1600 megahertz. This is mildly interesting on paper, but I don't expect any H series laptops to launch without a discreet GPU pairing.  It's just the 4900HS is a step better again. My final thoughts on the Ryzen 7 4800H are quite similar to what I said in the 4900HS review, given the two parts are very similar in terms of performance. The 4800H is undoubtedly an extremely impressive APU for productivity, offering multi-thread performance that's a class above what Intel can offer while being much more efficient at the same time. Intel's 14-nanometer process technology just isn't up to scratch for these sorts of tasks compared to what AMD and TSMC are delivering on 7-nanometer

AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Review, Zen 2 Is A Mobile Productivity Beast!

Not bad, but not great either

 Only three and a half pounds for all of this performance. Over 10 hours of battery life and a sub 18 millimeter Z height. It's pretty incredible. But probably my favorite feature about this product is what you'll see on the backside

 The advantages of mobile systems, the ability to take your content anywhere with you, everywhere you want to go, in a nice, thin form factor with great battery life, has always been a dream of mine to give you that kind of performance in that kind of a form factor, but without all the compromises that come associated with it. Those compromises being thickness, weight, poor battery life, and a huge fan noise, plus they tend to be pretty expensive. So what we wanted to do is build a processor that gives you that kind of performance, but it doesn't come with all of those compromises. To give you an idea as to why this has been a dream for me for so long, let's look at two leading processors in the market to understand what the performance delta is between a mobile CPU and a desktop CPU

 And what you'll see is there's a performance delta of about 26% between two of the leading processors. But to get that 26% performance improvement, you've got to more than double the TDP to do so. That results in a thicker, heavier, louder, and more expensive laptop. Nobody wants that

 Great performance for gaming. Warframe gets around 200-300fps easily. I've been highly impressed with AMD processors I've built two desktops with them and they out perform Intel. Always research before you buy

A nice upgrade from my older Asus Intel 4770 laptop.

 Now this particular model here, the title is not clickbait. You can't actually buy it outside of China. You can't get it. I do have a contact in China that managed to pick it up for a very, very good price

 It is so hard to kill the battery life in this particular model. And this is I think it's probably going to be a battery life king. I really do think it is. So that performance with the 54 watt power limit that it can hold continually

 Why is that? Well, they've set quite a high power limit with this particular model. Now it doesn't come with a dedicated GPU. This is called the MECREVO Code 01. It's paired up my configuration here with 16 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM, 512 gigabyte NVMe storage

 Most notebooks offered around this price point either had a good processor and no dedicated GPU or had both but no room for expansion.  I finally decided to look for laptops that had both which brought me to looking at introductory gaming notebooks where I found this unit.  I decided to go with the 1TB NVMe/16GB RAM/2060 confirguration. This thing is seriously the FASTEST PC I've ever owned

** So I have been looking at the Lenovo Legion 5 (15") AMD with the Ryzen 7 4800H + GTX 1650 Ti and it is my top choice for now. But I am looking a little more for a work laptop and not exactly a laptop specifically made for gaming. Pretty much everything about it that is performance wise fits me perfectly.
