my best blind buy: a whiff of waffle cone // imaginary authors. the pinnacle of what i imagine when i want a sweet, caramel, sugary gourmand. very unique and has a smoky hint to it.

 I can sense it across the room. No way I'm wearing to work. And incense reminds me of funerals, not parties. This is a no go for me

I love strong, warm, bold fragrances with some sweetness. YSL Opium, MFK Grand Soir, Memo Winter Palace, Guerlain Shalimar, Amouage Interlude Man, MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait, Xerjoff Opera, Victoria's Secret Rapture. Pretty sure my taste in fragrance would generally be considered "against type." The fact that I like fragrance at all might even be considered "against type," lol

after a long wait i received my perfume. to be honest not very impressed with the longevity for that price i expected something more Woww but its ok let say !

I've been into burning incense lately and wearing incense fragrances, and I was just wondering what everyone's favorites are.

Thanks to a rec in this sub I picked up some Satya Nag Champa oil and have been layering it with other scents.

Favorite incense fragrances?

 Because of its notes, i would only wear when the leaves change in the fall: Septemberish to early November, i’d wear this. The smoky quality would do well in crisp October air. Definitely not for spring or summer, IMO.

An acquired taste of smell

Last full bottle I bought was Amouage Interlude Man which was well worth it and will last for years. 

Where you wake up and think... why the fk do I have 15 bottles of this overpriced whale vomit? I smell it for about 10 minutes when I spray it then it's gone. There are so many better ways I could've spent this money. That's a trip to see my parents, a puppy, 3 months worth of rent. 

And you just have no interest in wearing fragrance let alone being part of the 'community' 

I don't want this to be too pessimistic but do you guys ever feel this way?

Do you go thru phases where you lose interest and regret spending so much?

From 1mL TPC decant. Getting to the end of the wearing season here on the East Coast USA (end of April). Interlude is a fabulous winter scent, full of warming incense, frankincense, myrrh, campfire, and sweet wood. Lovely opening, drydown, longevity, projection
