I was looking at the list of 3D printers recommended from this sub and damn, I could get something good for only 500$ish? 

I remember when 3D printers blew up a few years back they were PRICEY. Now the pricing is GOOD. 

For a brainlet like me who barely knows anything about 3D printing, what would be a good plug and play 3D printer? Like close to zero assembling and I can work import my blender assets easily to the printer?

Is 3d printing really that cheap?

 (You should be able to slip an included thin card between the extruder nozzle and platform, meeting only slight resistance.) Under each corner of the platform is a knob, the turning of which raises or lowers that corner. You move the extruder to each corner in turn, slipping the card between nozzle and platform and adjusting the knob if needed, to make sure the alignment is correct. You then repeat the process at least once, re-checking all four corners plus the platform's center

 Although we recommend that beginners stick with PLA because of its ease of use, more experienced users may want to experiment with the other filaments.

 It supports a variety of filament types and employs fused filament fabrication&nbsp;(FFF) technology. The price is attractive for those new to or wanting to experiment with 3D printing, but know that its print-bed alignment proved to be finicky in our tests, which had an impact on the print quality of at least one of our test objects. Still, although it may involve some tinkering and a learning curve, the Mega S is easy enough to assemble and is a good choice for beginners&mdash;just make sure that youngsters don't get too close to the exposed, hot extruder.

 With these changes, the owls printed again, better than the initial run. A different color film also worked perfectly. Three stars, because if you are not tech savvy and patient, this won't work for you. This is a step above something home built, but not plug and play with zero issues

Besides the plate issue, I can see future issues with the microswitches (why not PE devices?) and belt drives. On the good side, the HMI screen is really user friendly and well planned

Build Quality Questionable, But It Works

 I want something basic to begin dealing with shapes, surfaces, etc. Zbrush seems like an overkill for my skill and what I need, and Fusion360 for personal use is no longer available. I'm happy to pay for software, doesn't have to be free, but a bit hesitant to pony up $50/month for something that's obviously intended for professionals.

Just got the AnyCubic Mega S and I'm super impressed how easy to set up and use it is. The sample print came out really darn good with basic $25 PLA spool from amazon.

Bed leveling help... Pretty much this same thing has happened for over a month now... where I level the bed and I go through it a couple of times to make sure it’s perfect. and then my print just isn’t close enough at all

 I get a “cannot deliver because it is over 35MBs. So I shave it down to 28 MB’s and send it, still get the cannot deliver. I am told to use Dropbox and give them public access, which I do and have not heard back. Also tried to access my ticket but the system does not work; it request a email/telephone number and a verification code

When it works it is a good printer for beginners
