**Arc'teryx Proton LT**: This is a bit too warm for me. I started with this but ended up having to leave it unzipped. Switched to the Cap Air and that was perfect. For someone who doesn't run so warm this would probably be great in the 20s/30s.

Sold my proton LT last year as it was way too warm. With a heavier base + fleece (R1) + proton FL and a windshell I could easily take this below 0 during activity and not be worried.

I don't have endless reserves of money or highly technical needs, hence trying to kill several birds with two stones. I've identified the Proton LT Jacket as an option for the first of the two. I'd anticipate wearing it as an outer layer for going around town in the UK Autumn/Spring, or for cold & dry cycling where the Proton's breathability will stop me from overheating.

You normally pair them with a hard or soft shell when this is required. The Proton LT/FL + Trino SL is a great combination for cold dry activities.
