I was recently shopping at a mall, and I suddenly remembered that I had been meaning to try Armani Code Absolu for some time. I went to Sephora and asked the salesperson if I could try the fragrance. They happily sprayed it on my wrist and also gave me a paper strip to take back home.

The product smells good, but it does not last like others perfumes that I have bought in Mayor Retailers stores. Maybe is that the product is old since the shelf life for this perfume is only 12 months, but I really don't know why it doesn't last. Any way the price is very affordable compare with the $140.00 that I paid for the 2

  * *First smell:* Spoiled oranges. Wow this is kinda vile...
  * *Second smell:* You walk into a teenage orange's room. The sheets have been unwashed for weeks. This is the smell of his overripe BO. Transforms to dried oranges. Like the orange grows up to an old slightly distinguished eccentric professor. 
  * **Verdict**: Kind folks on this sub warned me that I wouldn't like it as a scent noob and they were right. This ain't it for me.

#####Versace Eros:      

  * Gentle sweetness. Smells a bit like fruit, but not real fruit, like fruit juice. Sneaks in, not harsh like most openings I've smelled.
  * The concept of soft. Gentle sweetness still. Doesn't change much, very constant smell. A bit relaxing. This is how I'd imagine a stuffed animal should smell like. Surprised it has a reputation as a frat boy clubbing scent.
  * **Verdict**: This is like a fourth date cuddling smell. 

#####Creed Green Irish Tweed:      

  * Shoving my face in a bowl of angry mints.

  * **Verdict**: To match my polo shirt when I'm golfing at a country club.

  * Jumps from incense to watery clean nothing. First sniff is heavy but lightens up quickly.
  * Aquatic with a tinge of smokiness. Like a cucumber with grill marks.
  * **Verdict**: I like the aquatic freshness, but the incense makes it weird.  

Note: Wanted to buy regular AdG but misread...

#####YSL La Nuit L'Homme:      

  * Warm sprite. Light carbonated sweetness. Smooth with a bit of fizz.
  *  Am I being seduced? Eros is like a soft blanket, this is like a soft feather. More playful and slyly inviting
  * **Verdict**: Safe but still a bit intriguing. Great first date smell. Awful longevity so a bit eh.

I was meh on Aventus and The One, but those really blossomed on my skin. Will need more time to test. Also lots of overlap, L'Homme Ideal/The One/La Nuit/Eros all cover the same niche so it'll be hard.

My (21M) first ever impression of some fragrances - pt 2

So I want to love this cologne because I spent $90 on it for my husband for Christmas, but I'm just not digging it. It definitely lasts for quite a while, but it almost is sickeningly sweet to my nose. I wish it was more manly smelling rather than this vanilla fragrance I'm picking up.

Ok, another one: Armani Code Absolu. Fantastic stuff, albeit quite simple. It smells like pastry treats and fresh woods, what’s not to love?

It’s not authentic. I have a bottle of this from Macy’s and there’s a difference. It still smells good but doesn’t last as long nor does it smell as good as the original.

 It’s an overall decent designer scent that is heavy with vanilla and suede. I get unsolicited compliments all the time, and it’s crazy to think that a relatively inexpensive designer flanker can do that.

Armani code absolu is my go to for everyday wear if I have errands to run. If I have classes on campus, going to the barbers, heading to the dentist, going to a car wash, grocery shopping, and so on. It’s an overall decent designer scent that is heavy with vanilla and suede.
