 This is PCIe 4.0 as well and this comes from the chipset but in here you can have a longer one as well. So if you want to have like one of those Intel Optane sticks that are 110 millimeters then you should be able to fit that in there as well. Now the IO of the motherboard

 It's meant to be a little bit more affordable yet the DDR5 sticks are not affordable and I think this is a mistake and having these at DDR4 would have been much better but hey you live and learn I guess. So who's gonna learn? Who's gonna live? I guess I'm gonna live and Asus is gonna learn yeah. Also the power phases over here are 8 plus 1 power phase which is slightly lower than the Z690 chipset on this same motherboard which is 10 plus 1 on the ITX. As you can see these transistors on the side over there there's 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and then there's two missing

 All right, I don't know how many of you have seen Dürbauer's video on overclocking the non-K chips here like the 10400F we have here. I don't see the option to raise the base clock and unfortunately that means for the 12400F on the B660 ITX ASUS board, it doesn't look like you can overclock it that way but that doesn't mean we can't go and tune our memory a little bit so let's see what we can do in BIOS and see if that gives us a little bit of an uplift in at least the gaming benchmark we checked out just now. On the ASUS enhanced memory profile, it'll give you two different options of 4800 frequency, 32, 32, 32 or 5600, 38, 38, 38. It requires a little bit more voltage

 Cost wise this combo with this cheap DDR5 cheap is relative right but with a cheap DDR5 is relatively competitive against a similar mini ITX 5600X B550 combo with DDR4 but as DDR5 improves potentially you have a lot more options with this setup versus the DDR4 combo. For Intel 12 at least for mini ITX there aren't really a whole bunch of good options for DDR4 motherboards available. Of course we will revisit that Gigabyte Z690 Ultra soon but I'll keep messing around with this and yeah expect a more in-depth review soon. Links are down below for the stuff here

 Alright, so this ASUS board is going to be one of your few B660 mini ITX options. It is DDR5 only and that might not really make sense to, you know, on a budget board right now but it is what it is, right? And that might be an impediment or a downside to some but, you know, it's not a show stopper and you can either just ease into DDR5 later on by getting a DDR4 Z690 board right now but, you know, you can also just bite the bullet and rip that Band-Aid off. This RAM kit here, it's really basic. You're like, there's no heat spreaders and it's really just the ICs on one side

Would I do this again? Probably not, I would have waited for the C4-Sfx and gotten that instead and not have to worry as much about compatibility.

 There's also this ROG keyring, this may or may not be your cup of tea but it's included. There's this round circular plastic device that has no business being in a motherboard box in 2022. Get rid of this please, we don't need this. Next up is the antenna for the built-in Wi-Fi 6 and the Bluetooth

 So let's find out what that is. And as usual with our motherboard content, these videos are not reviews, they're just overviews so we get an idea of what's physically in the box of these boards, what's on the board but today I have to give you my honest opinion on this one. Let's get into it. Alright ladies and gents, here it is, the ASUS ROG Strix B660i gaming Wi-Fi but let's get that motherboard out of the box so we can take a closer look at all the things

 In terms of the feature set with this board, from what I can tell it's looking pretty good and I mentioned this in the Aorus or Gigabyte video or whatever, that with these ITX boards especially the B660 boards, all the heatsink sizes are reduced so if we just take a look at the height, you can see that the M.2 heatsink is only slightly higher than the PCIe slot which is actually quite nice because with the Z690 version of the ROG Strix board and also the Gigabyte board, we saw that this heatsink was a little bit higher than the IO cover which is kind of ridiculous so we get lots of questions about cooler compatibility with these boards but this is looking pretty standard for most other ITX boards that we have seen from previous generations so with that in mind, I think that this one is going to be much the same with cooler compatibility. The main difference with all of these new ASUS boards for 12th Gen is if you look closely, they have the holes drilled for both LGA 1200 and 1700 so you can get away with putting a lot of different coolers on here. Now we've also got lots of questions asking about specific coolers, I think we're going to do a video where we do like a roundup of all these ITX boards and see what coolers fit all of the main 12th Gen boards because that's what you guys have been asking us to do so we'll do it, we'll rip out some Noctua coolers, we'll do all of the things and we'll see if those coolers clear the heatsinks

 There's an included user guide. Come on Gigabyte, what are you doing? The other thing is with the ROG Strix board, believe it or not the US pricing, this board is way cheaper than the Gigabyte board, like I'm talking like a lot cheaper but I'm going to come back to that.
