Upgraded to a 4k/144hz 27 inch monitor (the Asus XG27UQ), paired with an rtx 3090. For me personally, it was a huge difference and absolutely worth it, to be the point where I don't mind the lower fps. Games just look so damn crisp and lifelike on 4k with all that detail and high fidelity.

To be honest, the Asus seemed like a great find for the price, until I heard about the smearing. Then, the Gigabyte seemed like a close second (rtings score wise), but without the smearing.

even expensive monitors at this price range suffer from the classic dowsides, IPS have extremely shitty contrast and glow, and VA have trails and bad viewing angles. don't even start with local dimming, edge lit is basically useless and FALD has issues too because 400 dimming zones is not nearly enough. ​. i don't understand why anyone would buy an expensive monitor like the XG27UQ ( that i have and regret deeply since i discovered oled ) it's a 4K 144Hz ips that i bought for around 1000e a few month ago.
