Pair it with similarly lightweight skis and bindings, and you will fly up entire mountains, fresh and ready for huge downhills. 
You'll pay a bit of a price on those downhills. The lower cuff and softer flex of these lightweight boots will never ski downhill like beefier options. We are confident that you will be more than willing to accept this compromise. However, you need to fully understand what you are getting into. These are suitable for expert-level skiers on small skis, that are willing to tone down the energy in their downhill skiing in exchange for uphill efficiency. Further, the fit of the Atomic Backland is relatively high volume. For optimum downhill performance in any sort of boot like this, a close fit is best. These will perform best for those with wider or higher volume feet. Making them work on narrower feet might not be worth it; check out other options if you have narrow feet.

 You'Re not tired, because you're moving more efficiently you're ready to ski this particular product in our back land. Carbon skis downhill, very, very well loaded tongue, because this carbon loaded. But if you want to have the best performance and you're in terrain where it demands it, then you're gon na go back to putting the tongue back in okay and you're gon na access, the performance of essentially a 120 flexing kalpen, and that's obviously for this consumer. What they're looking for as well is they don't want to have a compromise on the way up and by all means they don't wan na

 What'S cool is you can actually have the buckles completely closed, so you can have the best control of the ski as you're touring open your free, lock and then all of a sudden. You access the strife and the ease of stride that you would have in your normal running shoe when you get to the top you're up there faster than anybody else. You'Re not tired, because you're moving more efficiently you're ready to ski this particular product in our back land. Carbon skis downhill, very, very well loaded tongue, because this carbon loaded

Atomic Backland Carbon AT Boots

 Carbon, which is this one, is slightly lighter because of the carbon spine on the back, and it also comes in a back line. Carbon lite version, which is just a little bit lighter than this boat here, the back line. Carbon boot has a 74 degree, cuff rotation, which is actually more than the human ankle. So it's got lots of cup rotation on the skin track

 This is an ultralight, dedicated ski touring. Boot comes in at 2300 grams for the pair of us at size, 27. So one of the lighter boots we reviewed I'm a sight to date. This build would be compared to comparable to the the Scarpa f1 Evo from last year, and now the f1 for this year, and also the new Arc'teryx boot that just came out

 The pro climb through this boot comes in a few versions. The the the generic back line boot doesn't have the carbon comes in a woman as a men's version in the back line. Carbon, which is this one, is slightly lighter because of the carbon spine on the back, and it also comes in a back line. Carbon lite version, which is just a little bit lighter than this boat here, the back line

 If you will, and also the liner, is moldable as well. The the back line has two buckles, only there's two lumen and buckles on the front one over the forefoot and this uses a three-point cross lace system. So it's just a nice simple system where the cable goes across a forefoot. When you put that buckle down it really snugs at the forefoot, pulls your heel back into the pocket and keeps things nice and secure, and the buckles themselves are really simple and easy to use

I took the Backlands out on a perfect corn day and flew up and down the mountain with ease. Easy walking, and easy to drive my skis on the down. I skied the Backland in pristine Vermont powder and was happy to be breaking trail with 70% the weight I’m accustomed to and with a better range of motion. On the down I was perfectly satisfied with the lighter boot, and found I was able to drive my skis well enough in the nice snow

I was skiing DPS Cassiar 95s. On the descent I was definitely feeling the lack of a burlier boot and found myself pining for the added stability of my 3-buckle boots. The Backlands had okay lateral stability, but even with a high rear cuff, I wished the sides of the boot were a bit taller (but you have to find weight saving somewhere I guess). 

 In going into testing this boot, I was looking for that sweet spot crossover boot that I could take on long full day adventures without sacrificing too much on the down.
