May be boring or bland for some, but I love it

I really like that desk surface. It looks great. I have an Autonomous SmartDesk, but it would look much nicer with that surface you have.

Which standing desk would you recommend in Canada?

Got it off of a FB marketplace reseller for around $260 new - super sturdy, no issues with the controls or movement, holds two 27in monitors, work laptop, keyboard, mouse, random desk crap, and my personal midtower PC and lifts up and down with no issues or signs of struggle. Very little wobble at standing as well, highly recommend!.

I Cannot Decide -- Vari vs Jarvis vs Autonomous vs...

I bought last year the autonomous smartdesk premium which seems to be almost identical to the current smartdesk pro. I'm very happy with mine and was reassured with their 30 day free return guarantee. If you don't need the extra range of height and low reach, then you can get the smartdesk core for a little over $500.

Desk Recommendations? [Jarvis, Uplift, Apex, ???]

I have two Autonomous smartdesk pros (which used to be called smartdesk business) and they are fantastic. The desks are super sturdy and I really like having dual motors for the standing mechanism and durability/reliability over time (the one from 2018 is still going strong and I tend to change positions often throughout the work day). The motors themselves are pretty quiet and smooth. They're around 600-700 dollars and I have another user around 5'0" and she uses them comfortably also.

Any thoughts about Autonomous?

One way to avoid this is to lower the desk to it's lowest setting every time you walk away. Overall - I'm very happy with it - I paid under $300 because of the Black Friday special and a small credit that I got from playing one of their online games. Include the countertop and the monitor arms, and I'm at around $360 total investment.
