Makes it easier to drop the rack and wire it in if you're not tryna reach behind the X32 R every time. In this config I ran USB to a laptop and played multitrack stems back, with a submix of the backing tracks going to FOH. Later on I added a Behringer SD8 for more inputs - from tracks, keys etc - gives me a little breathing room because we started having to  juggle stuff - extra percussion, acoustic guitars, roland pads etc.

I've got most of the pieces together, but I need to finish  things out, and I could use some advice on how to make this FOH rig rock solid and as easy as possible to set up.

The main guts of the system are:

* x32 rack
* 2 behringer ms-8000 splitters
* 2 Senheiser IEM G4 transmitters w/ 4 receivers.

This is for a 4 piece tribute band, so 3 of us will be wireless, and we plan to hardwire the drummer in leaving one frequency open for now.  16 channels should be plenty for what we're running with.  I'm not opposed to expanding the x32 with a digital snake, but that doesn't seem necessary . Our band  consists of:

* 2 vocals
* 2 guitars
* 1 bass
* backing tracks
* click track
* Drums

I have a few questions and would welcome any tips:

1. Is a shock mount rack case necessary/recommended, or can I save some cash and go with a non shock mount case? (we do 12-24 shows per year mostly at festival/state fair type stages with a few corporate gigs thrown in)
2. How long of a snake will I need to to bridge the space between our rig and stage boxes?  Obviously longer is better, but I'm trying to save as much space as possible too.  
3. Any other recommendations that I'm likely to overlook as a live sound novice when putting this together?

Can You Pros Weigh in on Building an IEM Setup for my Band?

Died after 14 months - 2 months past warranty

I have it paired with an S16 to give me 24 ports at the stage driven with an X32 compact or depending on the event I pair it with my x32 rack to get 24 stage ports with a small easy to haul around footprint.
