I definitely wouldn’t recommend the HT3550 for outdoors. It works best in a dark theater room and even then it has just enough light. It will look completely dim and washed at 220’. I would look at the Epson 3800 if you’re set on “4K”.

Now if you have ambient light then I’d push you in a different direction, because the HT is not super bright but the upside is that if you have a good screen and control the light there is nothing in this price range that is better. You’ll need to plug this into a receiver to connect up surround sound. From there I plug in a streaming device like an Apple TV as well as something that can play discs like a 4K bluray player or an Xbox. You may need to buy active hdmi cables if running longer than 15 feet.
