BenQ W1720 - 4K projectors | Richer Sounds

Hey guys,

Looking to get some advice on my first projector. I'd like a 4K one, and I've managed to find 2 at bargain prices here in Europe: the BENQ W1700 (€670, refurb 0 lamp hours) and the HU70LS (€860, amazon warehouse deals, near-perfect condition).

Projector would go in my living room, to project on an off-white wall (no screen till I can convince the girlfriend).  Have blinds that can (almost) fully darken the room. Usage is mostly movies and tv series.

Screen size is preferably atleast 330cm (130 inch), but i'd really like it to fill up my whole wall which is 380cm (150 inch). Max projection distance is 430cm (170 inch), seating distance is approx 300cm (118 inch).

I have a hard time comparing the two. 

The LG looks like it has more features (smart TV, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports instead of 1 with atleast one ARC, bluetooth...), but might be too low in terms of brightness if I want the biggest screen possible? (according to [projectorcentral.com](https://projectorcentral.com)). I've alse read some negative things wrt the colors.

The BENQ looks like it scores better in terms of brightness, but won't be able to reach my maximum preferred screen size, and has less 'smart' features. It is a bit older.

Currently leaning towards the BENQ.

  b) You do notice a difference between the 4k projector and full hd projectors, but i personally do not believe it's worth nearly 3 times the cost. BenQ W1050 is £414 on Amazon.co.uk If i was buying again i would buy a 1080p projector at half the price, unless you have cash to splash its not worth the extra
