Looking for the most comfortable harness you can find, regardless of whether you are belaying your buddy for hours on his project, hanging and repeatedly falling as you suss out the crux moves, or simply hanging out at the base of the crag day after day? Look no further than the Black Diamond Solution. It features a thin and lightly padded waist belt that is far wider than most and mimics this design for the leg loops as well. Featuring Fusion Comfort Construction, it employs three very thin strips of webbing spread out through the waist belt and leg loops to help diffuse the pressure against the back, hips, and hamstrings. The result is the most comfortable harness we have ever worn, and we love that it also comes at a very reasonable price.
Worth mentioning, however, is the notable downside that its feature set &#40;minimal small gear loops, no haul loop, fixed width leg loops&#41;, precludes it from extensive use on larger climbing objectives. The leg loops and waist belt are super comfortable, both while climbing, walking around the crag, or belaying your partner on their project. The molded gear loops are easy to clip, and while they won't hold enough gear for most trad climbing, they hold plenty of quickdraws and associated belay and rappelling gear for multi-pitch sport climbing. The Solution also makes a great gym harness.
If we are going trad, alpine, ice, or mixed climbing, we reach for a different harness. This BD Solution is great for sport climbing but less versatile since it's not great for other styles of climbing. Also, its features make life at the crag easy, but they add on the ounces, as this is one of the heavier sport-climbing specific harnesses out there.  You know, and they like it, for the comfort level, that the harness actually gives you as well as usual, like all the other bd harnesses, they have the pressure. Molded gear loops, which is really nice clipping on and off a lot of other harnesses, have that as well and i'm now i got a new harness that i'm trying out without the pressure molded loops and i am noticing a bit of a difference. But it's nice because it doesn't focus all the gear on the middle point right here where it can bend down. You get some space in between your gear and i feel like it's a bit easier to take stuff on and off, not a big difference

 One thing i will say about black diamond sizing of waist belt. I think i'm actually below average in height uh, about um five, eight and you know usual, like 158 pounds or so, and so i'm like really average sort of dude but the uh waist belt. I me personally, i'm like in between sizes. So it's like a large, it fits me, but it's a little big and then a medium fits me also

 It'S not like it's going to make or break or climb, but you know it is like a nice little feature as well as just like a bunch of other harnesses. Nowadays they have this fifth gear loop. That'S like this! It'S not a pressure! Molded sort of deal! It'S just like a little string, but i like putting like my gloves and my repel extension on here on the back of my harness stuff, i'm not going to use until the way down. So it's really nice to put that there keep it out of your way and then your gear loops can stay free

I'm 5'11" at 175lbs, 31" waist and 22" thigh.  Size M should be perfect but is too small.  The rise on the leg loops is also quite short and the loops don't sit flush (they ride up too high.)  I have not had these issues with other BD harnesses that I've owned

I'm a "slimish/average" guy so there must be something about the design that differs from other BD harnesses.  Remember that harnesses are not returnable/exchangeable therefore purchasing on-line can be risky

 It'S incredibly comfortable. It'S one of the most comfortable harnesses I've ever worn, but it's not right for everyone. I'Ll start off by saying this. The gear loops on the harness are rather small, which is fine for sport, climbing and for gym climbing

 One thing that I don't particularly like about the Black Diamond solution harness, but I know why they did it. This way is that the leg loops don't have any way of tightening, so you really have to be sure you're getting the right size. I wear a medium, but it's really comfortable and they have an elastic strip that keeps it pretty tight and I never feel insecure. In it, but I'm just somebody who typically likes to have a little bit of adjustability in the leg loops, although adjustability in the leg loops, is not as important for sport or gym climbing as it for something way out

 It'S got. A large opening fits my hands, which not many chalk bags do, because I have big hands, it's lightweight and it's comfortable. Overall, this harness is incredibly comfortable. I'Ve never had a problem with the gear loops and honestly, it's one of my favorite harnesses on the market

 I absolutely love it's incredibly comfortable. I use it almost every single time, I'm climbing in the gym and most of the time when I'm sport climbing outdoors the regular solution harness cost about 69.95. At the time we make this video and the limited edition Alex Honnold version costs $ 10 more at 7995, but to be fair, a portion of those proceeds do go to the Honnold Foundation, which is - and let me get this right

Mens Solution Harness

 Its incredibly light but surprisingly comfortable both hanging and belaying. I appreciate not having to worry about tightening leg loops and the single buckle waist-belt also convenient.

Word for the wise: if you are like me and have meatier thighs, pay attention to the leg loop sizes. The medium sized works well for my hips, but I am right at the upper limit for thigh size, so I have to wiggle the loops into place. Still very comfortable when in place, though.

I bought this product about a month ago and I have climbed with it approximately 8 to 10 times. I ordered a medium and I'm not quite sure it fits perfectly, but that was the recommended size for my body and I think that a large may have been too big. (I am 6 feet and ~165 lbs with a waste of about 31in. Overall I would definitely recommend the product and I love the look of it! Only problem for me is the slight in between sizing issue!

 6’, 165 lbs with 31-32” waist and 22-23” thighs for reference. Sized up to a large for extra leg room, but I really have to crank the waist belt as tight as possible. Most likely would have been fine with a medium, but ymmv.

Comfortable and easily adjusted

I have only used this harnes one time but i gotta say, its really comfortable. Very simple, low profile, light weight harnes. 4 stars only because I would like to adjust the legs. Gotta give something up for weight though
