 Not only are these batteries much smaller, meaning they take up less room in the device, so the device can be made more compact, or you could dedicate more space to the speaker cabinet, but you could use the device while it charges. If we were using one of those style of batteries, the logical charging port would be a micro USB connection, meaning you could power this from a computer or use the same cable that you'd use to charge your mobile phone, eliminating the need for a specialist power supply, which at the moment this needs, so that would be a major advantage if you could power it off of 5V USB. Talking of other similar sized portable speakers, the inclusion of Bluetooth to the Blackstar Fly would add an extra dimension of connectivity for devices. It would also mean that you could connect to backing tracks straight out the box without having to go and search for an auxiliary cable, which Blackstar seem dead set on not including for you anyway

 I know a lot of people who are looking for a small bedroom amp, or something they can carry around with them, and this little Blackstar is a potential solution, so before we get into the sounds, let's just take a look at the features and specifications of this little box. Check out the ~~smallest Blackstar amp~~ Blackstar Fly 3.  It sounds very nice for the size and money (about $75).  I can play it and not wake up my kids and it has a line in for your phone and a headphone jack.

I live in an apartment with my parent (im 14) Im thinking of getting into playing the electric guitar. My budget is obviously small since I only have $200 to spend on this hobby. I have a pair of good headphone (DT 770 250 ohms) Im wondering if I can get a cheap end amp and still get good results. I can’t play out loud because of where I live. I won’t be moving out for another 4 years.

[Newbie] Do I need a good amp if I can only play through Headphones?

 This is a huge disadvantage to me. It only passed in my books because OD is much more important to me when it comes to portability. I like to use cleans for practicing and crunchier stuff for playthroughs. I won't use this as a person practice

 Not for $35 extra, though... This is a tricky product and a good portion of this review is based out of personal preference

I would rate 3 1/2 if I could.

 The audio is being recorded straight to my iPhone using a blue Mikey microphone. With that out of the way, let's tweak some knobs. everything at noon. this is what the clean sounds like

 So this is the delay level knob. gives me other hand [Music] [Music] The E cannot work stiffer mure typical tone knob because when you turn it down, the tone actually brightens up [Music] and you get more low-end punch or low-mid punch as you turn it up now [Music] [Music] Let's click on the overdrive [Music] It's got that signature black startgame tone, but delivered in a comfortable hotel room. Volume is not going to get security called on you [Music] Let's bump the delay level up and lengthen the delay time and see what we get. [Music] Now here are my positives and negatives about the Black Star Fly: 3 bluetooth app Positives: It's small, its compact, it sounds pretty good for its size, and it delivers your signature black star tone

 So now I have to order the power supply from riff City when I get back home I Just wish that they had a package where the amp already comes with a power supply even if it costs just a little bit more. So there you have it. The Black Star Fly 3 Bluetooth is perfect for the traveling musician like myself who wants to be productive in between shows during their downtime. That said, the uses are not limited to professional musicians only

 This is a line input so that you can plug in any of your non Bluetooth audio devices and this one is a headphone out and it also doubles as a speaker simulated out. If you want to plug it into a recording device, this button toggles the Bluetooth connectivity. And lastly, we have the power button right here. I'm using my Chapman guitars a Mellow One hot rod with the Perfecto mod

 But it truly has better sound and way more sound options. I feel like the Vox should have the power supply that the blackstar does. Frankly that might be the other criticism of the vox (besides it being too big).

..but, the three stars is purely got the mass and bulkiness of the power adapter. This is an absolutely great deal for $99

..important because I’m in an apartment building and sometimes playing very early before work in the wee hours of the morning. And I hate wearing headphones)

 we've got volume so we can get some distortion. We're gonna check it out in a second. We got EQ and it even comes with some delay which is quite fun so you can check that out. Another option is it has an Mp3 line in so we're gonna even check that out

Is This the BIGGEST Sounding Small Guitar Amp?

Look at the Boss Katana Mini or Blackstar Fly/Debut. Same price point as these, sounds way better, and gives you some variety to see what kind of sound you like. Keep it forever as a practice amp even after you've upgraded.

[Question] Which amp to choose from the below?

 They lack what I would call full sound--and really don't think you're going to get that with speakers this small and light weight. They're great in the midrange but weak in the highs and lows. As a small, fun, cute, and useful personal guitar amplifier, this thing works much better. Guitar doesn't require the same output that studio recorded music needs

I'm keeping the Fly3BLUE. I'm not really impressed with the timbre of the sound for computer/mp3 player speakers though they do work for that. They lack what I would call full sound--and really don't think you're going to get that with speakers this small and light weight. They're great in the midrange but weak in the highs and lows

For what it is, it is a good product

 so if it does such a good job with the batteries and then I can also carry it around different parts of my house. or I can just carry it around to friends and to jams. and I just don't even have to worry about having an extra cable. So now after I see how the batteries are strong I don't even see the need for a plug-in So that's another cool thing that I like about it

 It doesn't sound as good as a dedicated speaker because this one is obviously mono as well, but it sounds good enough for you to just jam along with your favorite music wherever you are even if you are in the nature or I don't know where. So another cool thing about it and basically that's it. Seriously, I got nothing bad to say about it besides the fact that the not con was to plug into the wall to the electricity. Highly recommend It to anyone

 Then you've got the game, you can set the game and then you even have an overdrive channel which makes it even deal here and really cool now. I Was actually worried that I won't be able to have that richness of different sounds that I had on the Vox but actually here when you play with the different gain and the delay in the EQ and then you can also play of course with the tone on the guitar with the different pickups on the guitar, it totally gives me everything I need. So other than the sound which as I said, this amp does an amazing job. Edit: You also got the volume and I was worried that for 3 watt amp it's going to be very weak

 and I just don't even have to worry about having an extra cable. So now after I see how the batteries are strong I don't even see the need for a plug-in So that's another cool thing that I like about it. The next thing which I really like about it and again I Was surprised to find such quality in a 50 bucks. M is the build quality and when you turn those knobs you can easily feel this is a high quality product
