The Blizzard Brahma 82 is a great option for intermediate to advanced level skiers who want an awesome ski for the groomed runs. Carbon Flipcore and TrueBlend are paired together for a light weight feel that doesn't sacrifice on liveliness when transitioning from carve to carve. Two layers of titanal and a sandwich sidewall add burliness to the Brahma and increases stability while getting the ski on edge no matter how fast you're pushing it. The Brahma 82 is a ski for intermediate skiers that are comfortable on-piste and advanced skiers who want a ski specifically for groomers and hardpack. This isn't as old now as the original Brahma, but the Brahma 82 has been around for a significant amount of time now and in my opinion has carved a nice little niche for itself and even gone as far as kind of inspiring some other skis from other manufacturers. I'll just go ahead and say that us as a company, we've been kind of asking manufacturers for these narrow flat skis rather than a system ski in a similar width

 Really the gist of it is this is a extremely strong, very powerful ski and it is reflected in the weight. So we have the 180 centimeter length here, hits the scale just about 1900 grams. So maybe not the heaviest thing in the world, but certainly not like a lightweight, narrow all-mountain ski. It is built to be strong and that is reflected in its flex pattern

 Hi, it's James here from In the Snow and I've been testing the Blizzard Brahma 82 and this is a fantastic ski if you're looking for an all-mountain ski. In terms of the composition, it's made up of this true blend of wood core, which basically means that there's different densities of wood throughout the ski, giving you the right flex in the right places and you really can feel that in performance. I feel like this is a bit like a well-trained sheepdog. It does exactly what you ask it to do

 In the short turns, it's agile, it's manoeuvrable and it's really, really easy to turn that ski. But when you want to let the ski run and let it rip, it's very, very stable underfoot and it gives you a lot of confidence in your turn. So at £550, I think there's a lot of ski there for the money. If you're a skier looking to enjoy the entire mountain, look no further than the Blizzard Brahma 82

I currently have Enforcer 93, Declivity 102Ti, and Black Ops 118. I want to get something more that is more front-side oriented for when I’m skiing with intermediate friends on groomers, or if I wanted to spend a day ripping on groomers. Any advice is appreciated.

Frontside skis in the PNW

 Also in terms of construction we still have the sheets of metal here and this makes this ski just extremely stable and damp. 82mm underfoot, very quick edge to edge, really well suited to groomed and manicured terrain but also still borrows that free ride shape from the wider skis in the range so it does have that versatility built in. This was the 180 and this thing generates a 16.5 meter turn radius and that's pretty short for a ski like this
