Overall impression, I love this ski. I've skied the different Rustlers, the 9, the 10, the 11. They are super intuitive to ski

- Blizzard Rustler 9 - Rock/early-season skis. Got them cheap and they are super forgiving/playful. - Dynastar something touring setup - Got them secondhand, but they do alright. I wouldn't push the pin-bindings too hard, but they are stupid light and easy to tour with.

I've spent entire days carving with them, and have also ridden them in deep pow (they provide adequate float but a dedicated pow ski would be better of course). I think they're a great all-mountain ski for an intermediate, especially if you ski out west. That being said, if you're mostly skiing on-piste, you might prefer the 92 over the 99 since they'll have better carving performance. I'd also recommend checking out the Blizzard Rustler 9.

Jack of all master of none but incredibly accessible for intermediates and can be pushed and have fun by an expert. - blizzard rustler 9 - metal underfoot but none in tips and tails making it easy to pivot and swing.

They ski like nothing else... somehow simultaneously precise, damp, and stiff while still being fun. Another I almost never suggest but may work well are the Blizzard Rustler 9. I'd also look at the Volkel Deacon 84s.... pretty big difference from the other two I suggested, but they are a somehow magic ski that seems to bring out the best in everyone who rides them. I had a pair and used to lend them to clients and friends and family and everyone loves them!

I'm located on the east coast but travel out to the west coast for some occasional big mountain fun. Ideally I'd like an all mountain board that's both useable out on the east and also when I head out west. I've narrowed down my choices to the Salmon QST 98 and the Blizzard Rustler 9. I'm leaning more towards the Rustler 9, but would a more forgiving ski like the QST be a better option for someone that's getting into skiing?
