 so if you have a TV that's super big and you want something small underneath, you get this. If you want one that stretches the width of the TV they sell those two. Lowe's has them I saw an LG one out there so you have some different options and the back side of this see your standard boast has a lot of this behind there speakers with this open end here. It's kind of their signature trademark

 it's an older style. I don't have a ton of room underneath there in the back but you can't really see. but I wanted to put a sound bar because the sound on that sharp tv is not sharp at all. it's terrible

Moving into an apartment soon with my GF. Bought an LG 55" UN7000 for $410 a couple days ago and set everything up briefly to make sure it all works before boxing it back up for the move. Quite happy with the TV but not certain on the soundbar and thinking of returning it.

I bought an LG SK1. It's definitely better than the built in TV speakers but l I'm not super happy with it for the price. $80 feels like too much. I feel like the 5+ year old Vizio 4220W I bought my family sounds better and that cost me the same at the time. It's mostly a miss on the lows. Not that the Vizio is great there either but it is much better.

I do like that the volume and power can be controlled with the TV remote while using optical and the Bluetooth works perfectly with my phone. I want that control with whatever soundbar I settle on.

Was thinking of going back to Best Buy and picking up the LG SL4Y for $150 but I'd rather not have a separate subwoofer because of it being a two story apartment and I'll be in the upper. I was hoping to stick to my budget of about $100 max for the soundbar. I was just looking on FB Marketplace and found an LG LAS485B for $100. Of course both have a separate subwoofer so that's not entirely ideal.

Looking for recommendations on the $100 range, especially if the soundbar is a complete unit with the sub built in if there is one.

 We have a bunch of options here. As you guys you know look for yourselves shitload options and we have batteries come with the remote which is nice, but this thing is huge. Man, this is really really big. Not a fan, really really big

 you guys gonna quickly see: you're gonna have a little dialog button here and you're gonna have a little bass button here. So this what this essentially does is you could turn up the bass a bit more and the dialogue essentially improves the dialogue. so it makes a dialect much more louder. And of course the bass button is self-explanatory

 HDMI Anyways, now we have a big-ass remote thermos and this thing is Massive. Guys, look at this. I got big. This goddamn remote control

 It's gonna cost you a little more like $700 and of course the the Sonos playbar play bass all of those so this is more compact. You compare this to the Sonos beam it's very compact. You know this isn't a situation. If you're you know you and your girl just got an apartment going down to Best Buy or your online shopping on Amazon you know yo asses on the budget

Best Soundbar for small room

  Third, a nit but make sure to buy a separate optical connector since what Bose provides keeps falling out. Worst optical connector I have ever seen.  Fourth. well you get the point

 So try this one on for an hour.  Second, assuming you got past step one you try to figure out if this controller replaces your cable controller, which it does not, since you cannot change channels, period. Thus you have just added another controller to the already exploding pile. Hint, if someone can develop a real universal controller with all the codes internally set you could make a fortune

 I know one button allows you to switch video source(cable off the air, etc), which works some times, and the other button apparently changes device source (TV, DVD etc) and one has no clue as to how this really works given the buttons at the top. Also it always starts on the cable converter home channel not on what you may have had it on before. Beware if someone tries to use it unaware of the pitfalls, it will take some tome to reset the random finite state machine. This control device reminds me of a final exam in finite state machines at MIT in my first year grad school

Well, today/\s/ we're going to be discussing the Bose Solo Five,/\s/which is an ultra compact soundbar. We're going to/\s/ be discussing some of the benefits and features/\s/to see if this might be the right solution for/\s/ all of your home theater needs. And If you are/\s/interested in checking out the Bose Solo Five,/\s/ I will throw a link to it down in the description/\s/below

 But Obviously, the/\s/ speaker itself is very compact and dimensions. So/\s/that definitely makes sense. Also, just to note,/\s/, If you are interested in getting the full/\s/surround sound experience, then the Bose/\s/ Solo Five might not scratch that itch.

 It's definitely a sleek, modern looking/\s/design. It also has two fantastic LED lights,/\s/ which light up and change color to let/\s/the user know what the current Solo Five/\s/ sound mode is. And It also blinks to confirm the/\s/change in audio output volume. It's definitely a/\s/ minimalist approach to a soundbar which makes/\s/it very sleek and it will look excellent in/\s/ any home theater setup

 So as/\s/ long as your music player is Bluetooth capable,/\s/you shouldn't have any issues there. The Bose/\s/ Solo Five does also come with a remote control./\s/And One really cool feature about this remote/\s/ control is it does support over 1800 different/\s/third party codes from all AV devices, which/\s/ makes it possible to control almost any AV device./\s/It also has as many as 54 different function keys,/\s/ six of which have backlighting, this remote is/\s/truly capable of doing it all

Bose Solo 5 Soundbar 2022 Review

 unfortunately, for all the 3 I got, they have wider soundstage for sure, but when it comes to the sound for movie, the dialogue does not have the elastic feeling as the solo 5, which gives a cinema feeling. And the clarity of dialogue for solo 5 is also better than cinema 700 and sony.

I have a bose solo 5 that was bought 5 years ago. in the past 3 years I got bose 500, Klipsch cinema 700, sony flagship (it was flagship 10 years ago, forgot the model number, it is thin and the speaker were facing upwards). unfortunately, for all the 3 I got, they have wider soundstage for sure, but when it comes to the sound for movie, the dialogue does not have the elastic feeling as the solo 5, which gives a cinema feeling. And the clarity of dialogue for solo 5 is also better than cinema 700 and sony

 Here is the review.  Pro:The best clarity occurs when you activate the speaker into the voice enhanced or dialog mode by pressing a special button on the remote. As stated in other reviews, it makes a very positive enhancement in clarity of all voices on all programs. But there is a catch that you should be aware of

  Con: The enhanced clarity dialog mode stays active only as long as you are watching at that particular time. Which means that if you turn off the TV, the speaker reverts back to the normal audio mode which is much less enhanced. Additionally, if you set the speaker in auto sense mode, where it comes on by itself when it notices you have turned the TV on, you still need to find the remote for the speaker and activate the enhanced audio mode by pressing the special dialog button every time. If the TV has only been off a short time, then the speaker won't revert to normal mode

 But if its off for any longer than an hour, it will always revert to the standard sound mode. Our hearing is not good so we would much rather have the speaker stay in the enhanced audio function every time. I called Bose customer care at 800-792-7197 ext 54464 and they confirmed the speaker does reset every time. They said most of their other systems stay in the mode you put it in and don't revert
