 It's purple, and it's got a thing for your 9-volt adapters if you wish to have them, and it's got your input and output, which I think is cool, because some pedals don't have that. Now that's it. I guess all I have to do is show you what it sounds like. So today I'm playing with my Jag Stang, and I'm just going to show you what this thing sounds like clean with distortion

 Now I think they have the Boss BF5 or something like that, but this is the BF2. I got this like a year ago. I wanted something that would sound like a Leslie speaker, and they got us like, oh, this will do, and it didn't do, but it sounds good. So yeah, I'm just going to be reviewing it

 So now I'm going to put the death knob back at noon and crank the rate. I'll just gradually go through it. And that sounds scrumdiddlyumptious. It sounds cool

 All the knobs right here. So yeah, that's the clean sound, and this is the bridge pickup, first clean. So I have a single coil here and a humbucker here. Now for the Flanger in

 We sent these to John Fromel in Seattle. He signs the pedals with a sharpie and sends them back quickly. Very fast turn-around. Our expectations were exceeded

 How do you quantify that? Perhaps someone else wouldn't think so. We do. The range is wider, and the tone produced is not as mechanical and harsh as the original Flanger. Worth every penny

So I’m looking at chorus/vibratos, and I repeatedly see the Julia coming up. Everyone seems to have it, which isn’t bad I’m sure it’s an amazing pedal, but I’d like to have a more unique sound to my board. I know this is such a whiny post, “waah i don’t want to conform with my pedals” but I think some of you guys understand, sometimes you just want something different. But should I be so adversed to it? It does have a lot of features, the blend of the dry, chorus, and vibrato is cool. My only point of contention other than it being popular is the price point, but I could look past it. I’ve found some other cool pedals by smaller manufacturers, which is a plus to me (Stonefish and Car Crush), but the Julia seems tried and true. Anyone got any thoughts?

Boss BF-2, it does everything a good flanger is expected too and even though Boss hasn’t made them in almost 20 years they are still readily available and cheap.

I’m in the market for a Flanger pedal, and i thought i was settled but now I’m not sure. I mainly want to use it for Pink Floyd, so i was steered towards the Mooer E Lady. But i would also want to use it for Van Halen now and then, which is where the problem arises. From what i gather, Electric Mistress flange and MXR flange are pretty different, and one won’t really cover the other. If my back were to the wall i would go with the EHX style, but I’m not really as versed in flange as other modulation, so i don’t know that i have to. 

What’s your favorite flanger pedal? What songs do you use it for? Does it feel versatile?
