 It's one of those amps that is it's like an AC30. It can get quite brittle on the top end, but in a really good way, it cuts through the mix like glass. It's great. But you're not always going to be using one of those in a gig environment

 So the current recording chain we have here is Paul's Esquire telecastery thing into the Boss G7, or it could be any EQ type pedal, any graphic pedal, straight into the divided by 13, which sounds fantastic.  It's buttery smooth. Using the level slider to boost it, to give us our solo boost effectively, and we're pulling out 1.6 and 3.2 to just kill off some of those really harsh notes, the harsh tones, the harsher frequencies, which I think sounds great

 That to me sounds at least as good as that, but it's way more useful because basically, if you're taking along two guitars to a gig and you want that brightness in both guitars without having to go up to your amp and start fiddling, you've got the boost and you've also got the EQ. That is just a brainer. Where this really kicks in is now where the fact we can apply some boost to that. Yeah

 I'm glad I had a noise reducer to take it off or else I would have removed this pedal right away. I realize most eqs have this problem, but its still annoying . 2. the quality of tone suffered pretty bad when I made any drastic variances in the bands

For example, when I tried to do a mid-range scoop (all the middle hz low and the high and low hz high) I got a bassier, punchier sound but my over-all tone was way worse and made my amp sound like a dime store piece of s*** basically lol those things aside, I was able to get an actual boost to my tone that I did really like and appreciate the pedal at least for that. my metal sound especially, is now punchier but also has a bit more body and highness for singing leads

 Could not tolerate the noise level so returned it. I could tell that it was working as an equalizer, but the hum was a deal breaker. Returned it.
