Boss monster drove me crazy the first time I played it, maybe I had too many drinks but it felt like that game was just a mess. Rules didn’t make much sense, there was a lot of gaps in game logic.

Not a deal breaker, but certainly wasn't thrilled to take the wrapping off the game and discover the box to be bent/dented in multiple places. The game itself is very fun, and easy to learn! Took 3 of us about an hour to learn the rules and finish our first game

Boss Monster. It was a neat concept: design a dungeon that lures in heroes and subsequently kills them off for rewards. The major problem is that after a couple turns you end up drawing one card and playing that card. It removes the game aspect and becomes an automatic simulation instead.

The luck of the cards you draw is more important than skill. The cards have good variation but lack good combinations that work together.

+1 to Boss Monster. I assume it has sold well because of the art style.

Three boss cards were bent when I took them out of the box. I have them sleeved now. Otherwise this game is awesome, and a greaf gift.

*Boss Monster* is a game that tells a story, often memorable, funny or terrible ones. It’s a game that hits that sweet middle spot a little too well. It has just enough depth, choices and player interaction.
