Okay, as you can see, it comes with this disposable cap right here, so take that off and then in here. There are extra caps that you can put on for sanitation reasons and what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna take the tip of this, put the tip in, press it in, and then pull out just like that

 In making the thermometer "quicker, 1 second reading", I think they lost the accuracy of the older model. I have 3 girls aged 4, 4, and 7, and a newborn boy. Sometimes ear wax or position of the thermometer can throw off a reading but I tried the thermometer on them as well as their father and I, several times. Each time the reading was within a degree different

I have an older model of this same ear thermometer purchased in 2009 so I figured it was safe to get the same, but newer version for us (so I could send the older to Grandma's house). But I unfortunately regret deciding on this one instead of the Kinsa. In making the thermometer "quicker, 1 second reading", I think they lost the accuracy of the older model.  I prefer my other thermometer that reads on the forehead. Also you have to keep buying the refills, no thanks.

So this thermometer is for our newborn baby and i do not recommend it. It is very inacurate and you have to take the temp 3 times to ensure you have an ideal of the childs temp. It is reads the temp really fast. Probably too fast

Ear thermo

This is the second Braun thermometer and new one has the same issues as prior one. Always shows Lo battery and have to take temp a couple times to get accurate readings.
