Breitling Navitimer

We're back with the Breitling Navitimer Zero One Chronograph by night.

This is my Breitling Navitimer 01. Actually never been a watch guy before I saw this plastered on a big banner in an airport. I was just amazed how good a watch can look, right there I knew I had to have it. It took me a few years to acquire it but now that I have it im so happy with it, truly makes me smile each time I look at it.

It doesn't necessary shout "expensive watch! ", but it has a certain elegance to it which I love. And nobody except real watch enthusiasts really know of the brand (and even then, not many still do). I ended up selling my IWC Portuguese and my Breitling world navitimer to help fund the purchase, but in my opinion it was worth it.

this watch is nothing short of spectacular. Since the above will most likely not come as new information to most of you, I will just tell you why I chose this particular watch. When I first started getting into automatic and mechanical watches I was originally drawn to chronographs, I was especially enamored with the likes of the Breitling Navitimer B01 and Omega Speedmaster. At first divers didn't really do anything for me personally but I was always interested in them as I am a huge James Bond fan.

I immediately felt like that musician on the simpsons who had the Faberge’ Egg addiction after buying this watch. I did get a good deal though, RRP was $5,700 and I got it for $3,500 so that’s how I’m justifying it.

If you want a quality chronograph with rich heritage and respect for way cheaper may I point you to the Omega Speedmaster and the Breitling Navitimer. You can find an Omega Speedmaster reduced for under $2000 and a Navitimer Montbrilliant for under $3000. It’s not pagani design or Rolex Daytona or bust. Hell I’d buy a Dan Henry Chronograph way before a Pagani Design.

Wears surprisingly well given it’s smal size (33mm). Breitling Navitimer B01: Always wanted a Navitimer and finally got it this year after getting a great deal. It’s as cool as I imagined, definitely very sparkly on the bracelet.
