Today we're looking at a Btwintilt 500. It's about 12kg, good weight, nice discrete colour.

After doing a bit of research I have shortlisted the Btwin 500 and Zizzo Urbano as they seem to be a similar price. Which one of these would be the better buy? The bike will be something I use for leisure and exercise.

I actually considered these same bikes myself and it was looking at them in person that helped make up my mind (I went for the Tilt 500). The aluminium frame on the Tilt 500 makes a surprisingly big difference to how heavy it feels - this was a big deal for me as I have to carry it up to the 2nd floor but it also helps when carrying it on the tube etc. Both the Tilt 120 and the Carrera Transit are pretty heavy in comparison.

I got a BTWIN Tilt 500 mostly used for leisure riding and would recommend it over the Tilt 120, its frame is lighter and has one extra gear so it's easier to carry if you need lift it around, I would say it's worth the extra price.

Pros. -Easy to obtain replacement parts. -Very smooth tires with puncture protection (total of 2 punctures so far).

I’m not like an experienced bike person at all so take my opinion with a grain of salt. The $299.99 [Btwin Tilt from the photos has a 7 speed Shimano Tourney derailleur similar to other Zizzo bikes priced below the $429.99 [Zizzo I’m guessing the prices must be different in Canada.
