 I previously tried the little one inch adapters, as well as Monoprice's version of this product. Neither fit nicely with my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro and both had too much wobble to be counted on. In meetings I had to hold the adapters into my computer and type with one hand - not very useful.  This adapter must have an ever-so-slightly longer plug which seems to click into my computer

Still not great for Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, but definitely the best I've tried.

The Micro HDMI is shorter than most

 This is usually found on video cameras these days, and what this is not for is for people, probably Android phones, who still uses micro USB. So USB is meant for charging and stuff, HDMI is meant for viewing videos. So if you're looking for something to charge your device, this is not it. This is just to transmit audio and video

 That way I don't have to have a bunch of long cables lying around. Now if you want to go that route, that's a really smart way to do it. And plus because it is short only 6 inches in length, I can easily store it in my camera bag when I'm not using it. So just taking a look at this product, there's things that I look for in these types of cables

At first I was disappointed...however

  As a precaution, remember the following:  This is a micro HDMI adapter. It is not for USB. It is not for micro USB. It is not for many USB

This is for a male HDMI to be converted to a micro male HDMI.  It does not work for micro USB.  That is a different problem

well it is dead cheap and seems to work which is more than i can say for the two i bought at radio shack at 20 bucks each do not buy those ones which bend up and down. they break the important thing about this design is it gets the two plugs separated, so that there is no pulling on the micro head my samsung laptop has only a micro hdmi, so to connect to the tv i need one of these adapters and have gone through several which have broken  keep the normal hdmi box part taped down or secured so it does not wrench about with the micro plug, which is too small to stand any movement at all  you do NOT want a single piece adapter, for the above reason
