 Cables like this should last much longer.  Edit: changed from 1 star to 3 because Cable Matters responded promptly to my customer service request and it seems they're more than willing to replace my defective cable, which makes a difference.

Very nice, quality cable. I'm an addict to +6ft cables so when I got my new phone I HAD to get a longer cable. The cable is very nice and flexible. Connections fit securely and are gold plated

 The only very very minute disappointment was that it doesn't fast charge my Nexus phone. Hardly a problem, and likely due to the length. All in all, I'll probably be buying more of these cables, cable matters is a pretty well known company for me and I've always been satisfied with their products.
