 That's gone really straight. Now I said that last one was a toe strike and it was a slight toe strike but it didn't turn. Now normally when I hit it out the toe that club comes round and the club closes, it barely closed just over a degree it was. I would expect it to be three or four degrees so the tungsten weighting and the forgiveness in this iron certainly showed on that shot there

 Now that was left, I turned that, oh wow no actually that was a toe strike. Normally if I were to look up with a more bladed iron that would have that would have turned left five, six yards which doesn't sound a lot but with an 8 iron that is a lot. That's gone really straight. Now I said that last one was a toe strike and it was a slight toe strike but it didn't turn

 Now in the DCB you can go to 50 grams in the mid and the long irons but it's when you actually take these out and you can feel it. I don't know if you can see that there, that is a significant weight in the toe. It's a little bit smaller and less as you go into the heel. Now it's the same in the Apex but it's a slightly smaller version and a bit less weight but right here that weighting is all at the right place where you need at the bottom of the club towards the toe

 I caught that one slightly thin. Very straight, spin number as well 6,360 I said I caught that thin and that is very close to the one before. Nice and straight, so far numbers are quite consistent but that'd be something that I'm going to be paying attention to with this iron. Will I get that hot one where the spin drops and it flies too far? We'll see, I don't know with my swing speed if I will get it but that's something that we've always got to be careful with with a more performance iron

 Right let's hit a few shots and see how we go. Yeah it feels great. Now obviously this has the most traditional seven iron loft of the of the Apex irons I'm testing and the ball does seem to get up in the air really nicely. I mean that just feels beautiful

 The lie angle was correct but they were sent standard length. I have been playing them at standard length and not had any issues so far, and actually hit the sweet spot more consistently. The standard Callaway Golf Pride Z-Grip Chevron soft grip is great, but you can't find them anywhere and I would like to put the same grips on my wedges and woods for consistency, but can't seem to find them anywhere online? Would have gotten 5 stars if they were built to exact specs, and Callaway quality control should make sure that custom orders are checked for the correct custom ordered specs before sent out.

I like the product but delivery continues to be pushed out! I have been getting one club at a time rather than the whole order. Please ship my set of

Shipment late

After 5 years of playing with Callaway fitted CF16 OS irons my game improved in both consistency and scoring (they obviously go hand-in-hand). Yet as my swing improved with the confidence of playing the CF16s, I gradually lost distance because the ball launched higher and higher as I increased my smash factor. My launch monitor consistently showed that my ball speed was high, but my launch angle and spin rates also went up despite my improvement in lateral dispersion. My average 8-iron carry was 130 yards, with about a 7 yard roll out

 When I strike the ball normally, I predictably don't get that "feel" yet the results are nearly similar. So I can attest that the Apex 21s are forgiving for amateur golfers that have a predictable swing that typically hit off-center 50 percent of the time or so.

As I adjust to the Apex 21s my shots are incrementally becoming more consistent with greater yardage. I used the same Callaway fitting numbers from 5 years ago, with the exception of adjusting the lie angle to +1 from +2. This is the result of a better swing path that I have developed over the past 5 years with the CF16s.

If you've mastered your game improvement irons, it's time to move on to Apex 21

 The clubhead size of both Apex 21 and 0311P are nearly identical. My PXG have Recoil Dart F4 Stiff shafts; the Apex 21 have Recoil Dart F3 Regular. Both shafts feel very stiff but very controllable; the Apex launch higher, but not too high and can be flighted down somewhat. The heaviness of the Apex forces you to swing the club; you can't muscle them thru the swing like a lightweight club

I'm a 12 index and my standard 7 iron carry is 150 yds. Note the Apex 21 clubheads are very heavy, at least perceived head weights are heavier than the PXG Gen 3 0311P which they replaced. The clubhead size of both Apex 21 and 0311P are nearly identical. My PXG have Recoil Dart F4 Stiff shafts; the Apex 21 have Recoil Dart F3 Regular
