 It's because this is actually called a high toe wedge so what you can see there is the face of this sucker is a big ginormous and that's because the toe is much higher than it normally is and that is important for me because I'm not a big hitter and what I end up doing usually is relying on my short game to get the chip shots close so that I can be competitive and one of the things that ends up happening is that I like going for those big flop shots the really high shots that sit right on the hole and what I will do is take a wedge like this in this case it's a 60 degree wedge 12 degree bounce and put it behind the ball and open the face up to increase the loft so that I get a really high shot. Now that does a couple of things one it kind of makes the ball cross the face of the club at an angle here and so this really high toe here makes sure that there is material behind the ball to get it and hit the ball. The other thing about this that I really love is that the face of this has nice grooves but they also have these micro grooves that are ground into this at I think a 20 degree angle so the great thing about it is when you open up this club a little bit those micro grooves are still perpendicular to your target and so I think that's going to also help kind of get to the right spin on the ball so that you have those perfect flop shots. Now of course it's really easy to get enamored by Callaway products I think they're beautiful you can see the color filled Callaway logo right there we've got the green dots there 12 degree bounce here I love that that has the satin finish it's called the chrome finish I also think it comes in like a darker gray it's pretty long hosel right there as you might be able to see and then steel shafted and the Callaway grip down here with the little Callaway logo as the lineup

I really like the feel of the club, I think that in time it will be as good as my Mac Daddy 58 degree wedge with 9 degrees of bounce. I'm sure it will become one of the best clubs in my bag.

 It doesn't matter what Roger designs for me does it? So does it have to be on the green? Sorry Rog. Is it on the green or closest? No just do closest. Oh it needed to fly a little bit more but that is still not a bad shot at all from coach. Not bad at all

Review

 I mean, for me, it doesn't feel the heaviest of wedges out there. And certainly when you hit those little half shots, it feels very, very soft. And kind of looking on flight scope, it gets a decent amount of spin on it. And again, I would say for, particularly for me, for my little half shot with a lob wedge, looks like it kind of produces the distance that I'd be used to playing with this

 And that could in itself be a good thing. But, you know, get yourself fitted. Make sure that you've got everything set up correctly. Make sure that you're using the right loft for the shots that you're looking for

 I'm a fan. I think it's nice. It feels good. It's going to perform well and it's going to be very, very versatile

 And I think you could have a huge range of shots with this club. We're not going to get too much into how much it spins. I am going to do some videos comparing wedges and see how much they spin with premium ball. A little bit heavy with that one, but it feels good

CALLAWAY MACKDADDY PM GRIND WEDGE REVIEW

 I’m still warming these clubs up in my backyard for this year’s golf season, but I like how they’ve felt so far. I enjoy opening the face up and playing around with the trajectories. Just use a relaxed swing and let the club do the work for you (don’t try and help the club!). The 56 and 60 went into my bag right away (replacing my Callaway Sureout wedges) for my usual wedge play

I bought the 56, 60, and 64 PM grind 2019 wedges. The grips are very good and the clubs feel very good. I’m still warming these clubs up in my backyard for this year’s golf season, but I like how they’ve felt so far. I enjoy opening the face up and playing around with the trajectories
