For most routes, I'd say my spread is 40% road, 50% shoulder of road, and 10% dirt paths. For endurance bikes it seems like my main options are: Trek Domane SL5, Cannondale Synapse 105C, and Cervelo Caledonia 105. And their gravel lineup is: Trek Checkpoint SL5, Niner RLT 4* 2x build, and Cannondale Topstone 1.

I actually ended up with the Cannondale Topstone and I absolutely love it. It is a nice, non-flashy (I didn't get the orange) color with perfect geometry for me. The components are quick and quiet and I love how easy the bike is to ride.

[**Cannondale Topstone \- I've heard some people have issues with the BB and cranks. **Ribble** **or** \- I like the customisation they offer but they are more expensive and they don't offer the GRX groupset in 2x, the only 2x options are Shimano 105 or Ultegra. [**Specialized Diverge Elite \- doesn't seem to be as high spec as others at the same price.

I also like the Cannondale Topstone 1 a lot: Cannondale is the innovator when it comes to Alu frames and the Topstone is a workhorse.

It's been great. Fantastic off-road.

I just got a Cannondale Topstone 1 (alloy frame) in October for just this reason. I can definitely recommend it - it feels like a road bike but the geometry is definitely more relaxed has better handling in snow and weather.

Was in a similar situation as you earlier this year and went Topstone 1. It rips!! Super responsive.
