 The 750 and the 810 are really amazing. Probably a little bit ahead of Canon at this point, but I'm already way into Canon class I prefer the Canon ecosystem and I'm just glad that the 5d Mark 4 was able to catch up to the point that I'm not jealous of any of the other brands anymore. It's close enough to the same level that I'm just really happy with it. So in the 5d Mark 3, the autofocus got a lot better

 The full-frame sensor really changed what you could get in a prosumer little camera at that price range. Nothing else is like that. The 5d Mark Ii, they changed it again with video was it. We had no idea that you could do this with the DSLR was not in the cards until Canon did it

 But here it is: I spent about eight weeks with it now and I want to tell you what I thought of it for context the things that I usually shoot our lifestyle and fashion which is mostly for my wife's blog Anya B net So we travel a lot, take thousands and thousands of photos every month. Yeah! so I have some strong opinions about this I'm also the head of video over at stock. c-calm So I spend a lot of time looking at footage and thinking about the quality of it. and we'd all hoped that Canon would use this as a chance to bring their DSLRs back into the video world, but based on the one DX we shouldn't be surprised that they are not doing that

Canon 5D Mark IV Review: The first 2 months hands on

 My quick review as a professional photographer is that the 5DM4 worked mostly as expected but I can't give it 4 or 5 stars because I encountered several substantial problem during the trip where I snapped about 8000 photos. The four are as follows:  #1 Consistent blow-outs in Evaluative mode (center dot with circle around it). For example, if taking a picture of a bird in bright sunlight where the background is darker (such as the trees lining a river) consistently blew-out the highlights on the bird. This occurred EVEN WITH highlight tone priority turned on

 birds with a forest in the background). Other than this problem, AF was great.  #6 Still requires Canon's proprietary software for Wifi access to pictures, making near real-time distribution with a black-box solution impossible. At least put the FTP offload option back in like the original wifi grip could do (though hopefully without the stalls)

 My 6D never had this issue. I want the focus points there all the time and in servo mode I want the camera to tell me which focus points it is using at all times, period. AT LEAST GIVE US THE OPTION CANON! COME ON! ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GUESS WHERE THE CAMERA IS FOCUSING?  #5 AF tracking needs a distance-limited mode for tracking smaller closer objects with a wide background field (i.e

  #3 Downloading pictures via Wifi drains thee battery very quickly (and frankly it shouldn't). roughly 250 pictures downloaded and the battery goes from full to flat. This isn't a complaint about taking pictures, that wasn't a problem. It's a complaint about the power consumption when wifi is turned on and used to download pictures

Good improvement for the 5D line but some significant issues

 So in this case, the 5D Mark IV is going to be a little better because it has more megapixels, it's newer, it's an upgraded sensor but that is a given between the two cameras that are four years apart. The Mark III has a Digic 5 Plus processor and the Mark IV has a Digic 6 Plus processor. So just for processing power, it's going to be slightly better on this but again that is a given. ISO range, ISO 100 to 25,600 on the Mark III and you have 100 to 32,000 on the Mark IV

 So obviously you can see the 5D Mark III is less expensive than the 5D Mark IV. So let's look at the megapixels, you have 22.3 megapixels in the Canon 5D Mark III and you have 30.4 megapixels on the 5D Mark IV

 Moving into auto focus for video, the 5D Mark III, no auto focus for video except for when you press the back button and it locks your focus in when you get it. Now the 5D Mark IV adds dual pixel AF which is an incredible feature and function that we have tested out and it works incredibly well. In a couple of minor additions, you have HDR video shooting in here as well as a time lapse mode, you did not have that in the 5D Mark III. So I would love to hear your comments before I finish up this video, leave them down below

 Of course the ISOs are going to be slightly different but if all you are looking for is 1080 video straight out to an Atomos, 5D Mark III might be a better option. The 5D Mark IV gives you 720p at 120 frames a second where we already said that this one did 720p at 60 frames a second.  Hello! Well, today I am going to be reviewing this, the Canon 5D Mark IV. I've been promising this review for quite a while now but today is the day that I'm reviewing it.  Now a camera can't automatically do that and that's where the extra dynamic range of this camera is really going to come into play. So I'll just show you what I'm talking about here. Look, the weather's closing in on me again. Just as I get to the top

 There's another one behind me just here and that's going to be exciting. Getting up the top there, getting into some of that snow and seeing if I can pick up a few good pictures there. The 5D is going to be perfect for today because there's lots of contrast. The good dynamic range that the Canon 5D Mark IV has is really going to come into play

 While we're talking about dual card slots, let's also talk about Dual Pixel Autofocus or Dpaf and this is our fourth pro point. Now, Dpaf is probably old news in 2022, but essentially it's an advanced auto focusing system. or when it was released, it was an advanced focusing system. But the older lineup of Canon full-frame Dslrs like the 6d, the 5d Mark Ii, and 3 did not have this functionality, meaning that creating videos required a lot of work

 I know many who are still using it regularly for paid client photography work, but for video. Even though I used it extensively and it helped get my video production business off the ground, I say that it definitely is overshadowed by the newer competition when it comes to things like 4k video, better C-log higher shooting frame rates, and general video quality. So yes, in terms of technology, the 5d Mark 4 is quite old. Its limitations are quite evident when compared to newer camera bodies, but what can't be denied is that it is robust

This camera is still used by working professionals the world over, and it's not difficult to see why. Paired with Canon's own L series lenses, it really does give you an incredible picture quality

 Let's just keep that sensor safe. While on the topic of lenses, our second pro point is the available lens selection. Canon offers such a large catalog of choice when it comes to its Ef series of lenses for all occasions, scenarios, and budgets. As just mentioned, I'm particularly partial to the L series of Canon glass, which simply produces incredible images and a little bit of a double-edged sword
