 Look at that. Perfectionist. One thing I like is that it's got this little lever for changing the auto focus modes. From your 65 all cross type points

 First there's the auto focus and it's supposedly quite good. Then you can shoot 50 or 60 frames per second in full HD. In summary the main selling point of the 70 mark II is improved speed and accuracy. However the noise performance is better

Is the 90D the best all around ASP-C DSLR?

 It makes sense that 7d2 has more noise. It's like printing a 5 MP photo (7d2) and 10 MP photo (6d) on a same size paper, from distance you can tell the difference, but upclose, the printing from 5MP photo will look a lot grainy.  Of course, 7d2 is heavier ( a plus for some but minus for me), the autofocus points is way better than 6d. But ultimately, the inferior image quality just killed it

  I have a 6D and just bought 7d2 so I can have a longer reach (already have and love my 70-300L), so it's cheaper to buy 7D2 with $1700 than buying the new 100-400 L which costs $2200, in addition, with 7d2, 300mm becomes 420mm in a cropped body, such as 7d2. But I'm quite disappointed with the image quality, it has way too much noise even at low ISO, 6D has a lot cleaner image. I feel like the 7d2 noise is large and coarse, 6D is fine and smooth, I don't know if that make sense.  7d2 and 6d has the same megapixel count(21 MP), but 6d has a sensor almost twice as big, and 7dii packed the same amount the megapixel in the sensor that's half the size

This review is most helpful for those who have 6D already and thinking about getting a 7d2 for longer reach of their current lens. Bottom line: I would not recommend this camera if you already have a full frame camera because it's image quality just can't keep up with the current full frame, not even entry full frame 6D. I would not recommend this camera if you already have a full frame ...

 It's the way camera handles, everything is in a logical place, just like it was on other Canon DSLRs before. 7D Mark II is really fast in operation, shutter delay is non-existent, menus are logical, grip shape and dial positions are perfect. Autofocus is superb. 7D has excellent focus tracking and focus points cover a large part of the frame

 Nikon cameras have better dynamic range in RAW mode and also better shadow recovery from RAW format. So if you are after pure image quality, Nikon might still be a slightly better choice. Video is recorded at full HD and 60 frames per second. 30p and 24p are also available, as well as two file formats and manual sound level control

 High ISO is rather good all the way up to ISO 6400, which I think is maximum usable ISO for this camera. It is not perfect though. Nikon cameras have better dynamic range in RAW mode and also better shadow recovery from RAW format. So if you are after pure image quality, Nikon might still be a slightly better choice

 Video is recorded at full HD and 60 frames per second. 30p and 24p are also available, as well as two file formats and manual sound level control. Video quality is good, but not perfect. Exposure and colors are excellent, but video looked soft overall

I have a budget of 1200€, so I think about the 90D or the 7Dmark II or the 5D mark III.
This will be for bird shooting almost all the time, but for landscapes, and portraits too.

Disappointing Picture Quality With High Learning Curve

 It wasn't even that impressive back in 2014 when the camera came out, so that's never a good sign. Footage is very soft and the smaller details often get lost in the blurry mess that is the end result, and shots look very noisy when the ISO gets raised even a little bit. On top of this, the camera doesn't shoot any higher than 1080, which even in 2014 was somewhat of a disappointment. The autofocus works decently in video mode, but it doesn't do an amazing job of tracking faces and subjects, so you can't rely on that too much if you're going to be shooting videos

 I find that I'm able to pretty comfortably capture the landscape of the landscape and comfortably raise the ISO to 800 or even around 1,000 without being too worried about the image quality, but raise it much above this and I start to get a bit concerned about how noisy the image is going to be. In extremely challenging situations, I've had shots that were so noisy that it definitely took away from the final image and I ended up having to use quite a lot of noise reduction in Lightroom. So that's definitely a con if you're going to be using your camera in these kinds of situations often. It's not enough of a problem to be a deal breaker because this is a budget camera after all, but it's definitely something to be aware of

 And as an added bonus, if you're already used to Canon cameras, pretty much everything is going to be familiar, from the button layout to the menu system, and even the useless rate button is still there. The camera features a high burst rate at 10fps, built-in flash, good autofocus capabilities, dual card slots, GPS, which is one of my personal favorite features, and an optical viewfinder, which, sadly, was recently added to the endangered species list, and the last remaining wild optical viewfinder is currently being guarded alongside the last of the northern white rhinos. Now those are all great features, but what kind of images does this thing take? Well, to sum it up, it takes some pretty good ones. It was pretty rare for me to wish I had a better camera when it came to the quality of images I was taking

 On top of this, the camera doesn't shoot any higher than 1080, which even in 2014 was somewhat of a disappointment. The autofocus works decently in video mode, but it doesn't do an amazing job of tracking faces and subjects, so you can't rely on that too much if you're going to be shooting videos. The video functions work well enough to get by if you really have to, but no one is going to opt for this camera as their first choice when shooting video, even on a budget. I've owned an old 1D for a while now and its time to upgrade. I'd like either a 7D or 7D Mark II. Bear in mind, the 7Ds are going for £200, and the Mark IIs £400-500. Also, I do not need more AF points and I'm a photographer, not a videographer. However, I love shooting in aquariums (low light), I love the higher frame rate and better tracking. BUT, with the money I save getting a cheaper camera, I can buy faster lenses with faster AF.

Any thoughts? Please let me know below.

EOS 7D or 7D Mark II?
