 It looks a little bit more crisp, I would say, and I really like that crisp, punchy look, and that's what you're getting out of the 15-35 versus the older 16-35 EF lens, which is still a great lens, by the way, but I would say that the 15-35 is a little bit more crispy in its image. I think that's the best way to describe it. Really, really beautiful image. Minimum focus distance is the same, and you do get this extra wheel here on this lens, so you could control your F-stop or your ISO from this little wheel, which is pretty cool

Is there more distortion? Great lens, but fragile plastic body and not great for Astro

 Zoom all the way in to 35mm and we see some moderate pincushion distortion, with slightly more gentle vignetting this time at f2.8, again stopped down to f4 or f5.6 to see it mostly cleared up. So really, this lens's vignetting and distortion is average-ly bad, I would say, so you will want to use corrections

 So overall, the RF 15-35mm f2.8L ISUSM really is just about the most accomplished ultra wide angle zoom lens Canon have ever put to market. It doesn't quite master the problems of vignetting and distortion, and I've seen ultra wide angle lenses with slightly sharper corners than this, but it's undeniably just an excellent all-rounder. The broad zoom range, bright maximum aperture, image stabilisation, ability to use filters, great sharpness and contrast, and low coma levels all add up to bring you one of the most comprehensive and dependable ultra wide angle zoom lenses ever

6 and f8 for miniscule little improvements that add up to a really excellent sharpness there. So overall, yes, the RF 15-35mm is brilliantly sharp, with nice, neutral colours and great contrast. Its image corners could be perhaps just a little punchier at f2.8, but an edge of extra sharpness does come along when the aperture is topped down

I was hoping this would be a good lens even I never liked wild zoom lenses. But, the quality of the images is not that good. I compare it to the prime lenses like RF-50 and RF-85 or even RF 28-70, but the difference in overall quality is noticeable.

Wait till there is a better wide RF lens.

8L for the EOS R system though, Canon's exploited the benefits of mirrorless and modern optics to produce something different that now starts slightly wider while also featuring optical stabilisation. In this review, I'm going to show you what the RF 15-35mm f2.8L is capable of while also directly comparing the features and quality against the existing Mark III EF 16-35mm f2.8L

I mainly shoot stills for corporate events, creative portraits and products, love 35mm focal length but need something ergonomically comfortable, portable and with decent low light performance.

Since I've had the body I have found that the adaptor really makes my EF lenses feel a lot bigger, the 24-70 2.8 is my workhorse but huge and I'm selling my 70-200 2.8 II as it is just too big and heavy to practically use handheld.

I've always been sceptical of 3rd party lenses, especially when adapting to a newer mirrorless body but I'm open to trying one again.
The following lenses are all around the same price for me (£600-800) -

Sigma 1.4
Tamron 1.4
Canon EF 1.4 (Mark I)
Canon RF 1.8

The RF is very appealing for the size but I won't need the IS or macro and I feel like 1.4 will make more of a difference to just using the 24-70 2.8.
I only read people talking about the EF mark II but the I seems pretty compact, just not sure about the performance.
The sigma seems very popular but lacks weather sealing and looks pretty big.

So what would suit me best? 
Any advice or comparisons between these four lenses would be appreciated, thanks.

35mm Lens for R6

Received a Box without case and warranty card

 The L series comes with Canon official hood like in my other lenses, and this one was missing.  The image quality is really sharp. Image stabilization is nearly perfect, you have to be moving quite a lot to get any kind of motion blur on static objects, and there's no blurry corners. The bokeh is a bit different but in a good way
