 So my wife and I have been on this bed frame for about two months now and uh, we absolutely love it. It offers almost enough cushion, but enough rigidity so that our backs aren't super sore in the morning. And even if you had a memory foam mattress, if you put it on the floor, you're going to notice a big difference between the floor and the slats that this frame uses. And so the slots kind of allow it to, you know, to flex a little bit to give a little bit of cushion

 I hope we'll see, you know, styles change, but we were. One thing we liked about this frame was the style. We didn't think it was so modern that you know it would be out of style in 10 years, but who knows what the next decade or two holds. But we try to buy somewhat timeless pieces for our house so that we're not constantly having to buy stuff to be in style

 So hopefully these little slots have a little more give and make the bed pretty comfortable. All right. All right. So here she is from the other angle with some low-light dim just for reference

 Um, we've been waiting on this bad boy for about a month and a half. Um, I don't think it typically takes that long, but they didn't have the frame pieces in stock so we had to wait a little bit for those to um to come in from the manufacturer. and then they shipped to the headboard with the frame as well. But uh, we ended up going with the Casper Repose bed frame with the headboard and we got the natural oak color to kind of match our floors And for the headboard we got the light gray to kind of match the walls and just the layout of our of our house

The Casper mattress is the worst mattress to ever exist.

 Make sure you have it where you want it. The headboard needs more than one place to attach but how it is made it does not line up well. It does not give the flip up option at the end of the bed to attach a foot board which when converting a toddler bed it would be a nice feature. Over all for the price its not bad

 I did like it but since it’s all foam and I’m 6’0 210lbs and a side sleeper i needed the extra support coils have. After 3 months though it didn’t appear to sag at all.

What makes a mattress so horrible?

Hi! My wife and I just bought a house, and now we're in the market for a new bed, but we need your help!

Me: 6'2" 200lbs, back/side sleeper
Her: 5'5" 125lbs, side sleeper, light sleeper, sleeps hot, has a tough time falling asleep (14 wks pregnant :))
Asher: our bulldog who can't wait for us to get a king size bed

We've been researching bed in a box options and everytime i feel like I'm narrowing it down, I find a bad review. I know everyone has an opinion and just because someone else hates it, doesn't mean we won't love it, but I also get worried about relying on websites that could just be paid off by the company promoting them. This is the exact reason I trust reddit more. I haven't yet found a like posted thread and I've been hunting for an hr, so if there's another one like this out there, please post the link. Our budget = 1500-2000. Looking for a king. My gut it telling me either Casper or Purple, but open to any and all. I've read such bad things about Nectar tho (on here) that it'd have to be a really compelling argument to get me to look at them.
