 So what i thought we'd do is this is kind of like an all-around utility knife, so i thought it'd be worthwhile just to do some all-around tests, so i've got some some paper. I'Ve got some cardboard. I'Ve got some paracord and i've got some of that. Pesky plastic packaging that that we um seem to struggle with they have to seal everything in these days

Cold Steel Kiridashi - Excellent EDC Knife Under $50 - Sharp Saturday

 I would order again to try my luck but other reviews state they ordered multiple times and received the wrong knife.

I like Cold Steel knives and this knife is OK. The Issue is this is not the Pro lite Clip Point Blade!!! This knife is the Pro lite Sport. The box clearly says Pro lite sport but the Amazon sticker on the box says Pro lite clip point. Clearly a miss labeling issue

Have Better

 I bought it because it is a Andrew Demko-designed knife on the super cheap. It feels great in my hands and the jimping on the hand is perfect. The German 4116 steel is fine enough for me. This has a razor-sharp edge and I'm sure that I could sharpen it back to a razor

 This one is a two-hander kind of knife. The Tri-Ad Lock is way too rough to release the lock. I read the reviews complaining about opening the Tri-Ad and I was with the sissy's complaining. I'm joining the sissy club

 I'm a strong-handed man, but had to release it with Channel Locks! I added some lubricating oil and worked on the lock about 20 times. It's better, but it's a manly press to release the blade. 1 star!

 They are made in Taiwan and I'm impressed with their Taiwanese work. I have an Ontario RAT1, Blackhawk BE-WHARNED, and 2 Cold Steel Tuff Lite and this ProLite. They are all built well and have great blades.

Cold Steel makes a great knife.  The Tri Ad lock is brutally tough.

 Those two positives were enough for me to give it more than one star. By the way, it even came unremarkably sharp; from the blade’s hilt up to about 3/4 of the way to the tip it was marginally sharp. From that area to the tip it was akin to a butter knife. I was, however, able to get it sharpened to an almost razors edge

I hadn’t bought a pocketknife in a while, so I looked at the reviews and thought it this particular knife was worth a shot. I shouldn’t have bothered! Straight from the box I was unimpressed with the look and feel. It looks like a cheap knife and feels even cheaper. Those junky tv knives are more eye pleasing than this thing

Forget about unlocking it with a flip of the thumb; mine is stiffer than any pocketknife I’ve ever owned—and I’ve owned many.  Now for the real deal breaker: closing it requires a Herculean effort! Both my thumb and index finger are bruised from the effort

 For the price I paid for this knife I could have bought a Taiwan or Chinese made lower end Buck knife. I’m sorry but this product just “doesn’t cut it” with me.

 On at least one occasion, the locking mechanism froze up on me and wouldn't close at all, after I struggled to open the blade. I had to press against the granite kitchen counter edge, to force this lock to close! I applied my entire body weight to do so. Not only is the lock stiff, it is also extremely gritty. Do yourself a favor and purchase the twice as expensive, but worth it, Cold Steel Air Lite instead

 You will be very glad you did. The difference between these two knives, is truly astounding.

Junk Knife

I just used this knife for the first time today at work. I'm very disappointed. Its going in my junk drawer. It feels so cheep and the blade came razor sharp but after one day of moderate cutting card board,tape,skinned a couple wires,and its dull and has little nicks and scratches all over the stone washed blade

I have 30-40 Cold Steel knives and this is the only one that I've ever been disappointed in. For the money there are alot of quality blades on Amazon

Not worth it. And i love Cold Steel. Many others out there.

The handle is G10 no metal lining, less stability. The Tri-Ad locking mechanism works so well that I cannot close my knife (faulty) and not worth the price to get it shipped out.
