This is the new watertight two. It's got velcro straps to keep the water out, keep your keep you nice and dry

Tested:  Columbia Watertight II Jacket

 Fit is a little baggy but for what this is (a rain jacket) it's perfectly acceptable as this allows for:  1. An underlayer, which you're going to need if it's wet AND cold.  2. Greater airflow to help with breathability and moisture (sweat) buildup inside the jacket when its rainy and warm

 For those complaining about it not fitting skin tight, you really dont want that with a rain jacket built with this type of waterproof material since it doesn't breathe...

 Better than a fleece jacket, right? It's meant to keep water off and it looks good so you can wear it all the time. It's a great jacket. Good luck and take care.

 Yeah, let's take a closer look at this jacket. This is a really nice jacket by Columbia, so this is meant to help keep water off of your body so it's a nice alternative to other jackets. You know this should work better than say like a puffy coat or so. yeah, or a fleece jacket or something like that which is gonna get wet so this will help protect you from from the elements a little bit better, which I think is nice

 I think it's at a good price point and it's very affordable for what you get because again, this is going to keep the water off you. Better than a flannel, Better than a puffy coat. Better than a fleece jacket, right? It's meant to keep water off and it looks good so you can wear it all the time. It's a great jacket

Columbia Men's Watertight II Jacket

I would recommend as a reasonaly priced, decent quality waterproof jacket for daily use.

I'm athletic tailored-42" with 34"-waist, Large is usually only slightly-baggy and a Medium is too-tight. I own other Columbia jackets. This one fits GOOFY, like it's made for a TALL. Bottom of jacket is way too long (mid-to-low thigh)

 Hood of jacket is too far from shoulders (the bill covers my face), and even the shoulders are a tad too wide. Plus the waist drawstring is on one-side (right) only, so it doesn't draw-in equally like my other Columbia. I look like a bigger moron than usual in this jacket.

Weird proportions, unhappy

 Hangs lower than I’d like it, sleeves are too long, and too much room in the midsection. Ideal size would have probably been a M. Other than the loose fit though, feels like a solid choice.

 For all you folks up north, my apologies...this review describing relatively nice weather is not meant to cause any issues

 While riding, it was a pleasure to wear, by allowing me to keep comfy and preventing wind from buffeting my ears (the wind isn't bad at all, but seems to pick up tremendously while riding). After arriving home with some heat build up, the jacket was very easy to remove. My arms did not stick to the inside and I wasn't sweaty. As mentioned above, it's very light, so you can hang it anywhere

  On a cool night (upper 50s), this Columbia Watertight II jacket was immediately comfortable and retained body heat inside. Within seconds, I felt the difference between just wearing the two shirt combo (short sleeve + henley) and adding this very lightweight jacket. While riding, it was a pleasure to wear, by allowing me to keep comfy and preventing wind from buffeting my ears (the wind isn't bad at all, but seems to pick up tremendously while riding). After arriving home with some heat build up, the jacket was very easy to remove

 Lucky me! It fits nicely (not as snug as I wanted, but good enough). It's good around the chest area, but a little generous around the waist. Not bad though. Used it twice so far, for riding the bike at night (commuting)

 Anticipating some rainy weather, I opted to deal with the large--and if it didn't fit well--I'd return it. For about $46+ (price has increased to $51+ as of this post), this jacket had all the right qualities I'd been looking for (water and wind resistant/proof, adjustable hood and price). Lucky me! It fits nicely (not as snug as I wanted, but good enough). It's good around the chest area, but a little generous around the waist

The Columbia Watertight II is also a great windbreaker

 The columbia jacket is light and comfortable material (soft feeling), also the jacket is quiet when walking, not loud and crunchy sounding like others I have heard. Made in Vietnam, the threading is nearly flawless (I only saw one tiny loose thread), very happy about that :) There are drawstrings at waist and neck, albeit the neck drawstrings are unusual to me and may need a pinch stopper thing, like the piece used at the waist to stop the cord at the tightened length.  Family member loves it and the color perfectly matches their columbia wide rimmed rain/fishing hat.  This was my first time using prime try before you by, everything was easy and the package jacket appeared brand new, with tags and not worn

Bought as a gift for family member and given when they visited today. He is 6'2"-6'3", 185lbs, the jacket fits with enough room to be worn over a couple layers (or not) and still be form fitting.
