His reached 51.8° C on the 50% mode even when cooled (I believe he blows a fan on it to simulate walking around with it in your hand)

Bought a Convoy S21A from Fasttech because I had rebate points to use so I got it for pretty cheap.  FT claims it has the SST40.  

On it's brightest setting it gets way too hot IMHO. Hot enough to possibly affect the health/life of the battery.  Hot enough to make you not want to touch it.  

A couple reviews on the site did mention this problem but I typically ignore reviews because I find 99% of the time I never have the problems negative reviewers claim to have.

So is this normal for this torch? I see the AliExpress Convoy store doesn't even sell the S21A with SST40.  Maybe they stopped using the SST40 in this torch for this reason?

EDITED TO ADD CLARIFICATION: The torch gets hot at the top where the light is and creeps down from there. Therefore this is not a short I don&#39;t believe. It&#39;s just that the LED is overworked perhaps.

Does anyone have and real life experience with both, and which do you prefer? I have the B35AM and love it but don’t have the 519A to compare it to. We all know how a certain light looks good by itself but then you fire up a different light right beside and suddenly all the flaws become apparent!

One of my favorite lights is S21A with b35am 4500k, however that light is slightly colder than the sst20 4000k light you are used to but its a real bargain.

Im basically looking to get a Convoy S2+ as an edc light but cant make up my mind about all the emitter options. Found several Convoys that seem to be an S2+ with a 21700 which is also sth. i would like. But im also open for other suggestions.

I am also thinking about just getting 2 with different emitters because last time i didnt have an edc light with me my Q8 pro got stolen and that still hurts.

For the tint i would like sth. similar (or warmer) to the SST-20 4000K i got in my d4v2.

I hope this isnt as stupid as it feels but im somewhat overwelmed with the emitter options and all the posts i could find seem outdated.
