Excellent heatsink but fan dead after 2 months
I'm starting to realize that Cooler Master fans are terribly unreliable. The heat sink on this is excellent though. It dropped CPU temps substantially. The stock AMD wraith cooler was junk. And the install was easy. Unfortunately, the fan on this cooler died in 2 months. LEDs still worked though so....
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Review - Still AMAZING in 2021
Conclusion. I guess that really brings me to this conclusion, and I’m going to say that the 212 Evo surprised me. In 2021- 10 years after its release – we are seeing this cooler still perform really, really well, and it’s priced so much lower than a lot of the other coolers on the market right now
Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition CPU Cooler Review
Today we are checking out the Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition. This cooler features four nickel-plated copper heatpipes, a single tower design, a 120 mm RGB cooling fan, and Cooler Master has made the entire cooler black. At only $34
Mounted on a FX 6300
Significantly brought my temps down compared to the stock AMD cooler. While under full load my temps do not exceed 45-50c.
My only complaint is the fan, it has been rattling/clicking since installing the new cooler. Will end up buying a new fan to install soon, unfortunately that is the far easier ...
COOLER MASTER HYPER 212 EVO 2 REVIEW
The fan is 120mm and uses two screw-on-to-fan plastics brackets that are leaps and bounds beyond the old bent wire clips for ease of usage. At just 80mm thick, with the fan, you do not have to worry about memory clearance issues as Cooler Master says that the Hyper 212 EVO 2 is 100% compatible on all motherboards for memory clearance. Advertisement Topping out at 155mm in height the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 2 will easily fit in a standard ATX case

Much better temps with the Ryzen 5 2600 compared to the stock cooler (Wraith Stealth)
Replaced my stock cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 2600 (Wraith Stealth) due to high temps. With the Stealth I was averaging about 40-45 celcius at idle and up to about 80-85 celcius under load (when rendering video or doing video file conversion after only about 2 minutes). Now with this new CM Hyp...
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition Review – BACK in BLACK! - KitGuru
Primarily this is due to great price to performance along with a high level of compatibility. Cooler Master has continued to release updated versions or the Hyper 212 cooler which also means there are a number of options to choose from based on your preferences. The most recent addition, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition, as the name suggests features an updated clean black aesthetic, as well as a new included fan the Silencio FP120
A major step backwards
I have owned several Cooler Master CPU coolers over the years including the somewhat infamous GeminII (the GIANT one, not the smaller more modern one). The Hyper 212 was an excellent design - so much so that every system I've built in the past three years has boasted one and I've even taken to buyin...
Not that easy to install but worth the money. Hopefully no more overheat.
