 So just a quick overview, these dumbbells are about $369.99. I think that's what they at least show on the website right now. These dumbbells are actually a set of 10 weights, so they start from five pounds going to 10 pounds, 15 pounds, all the way up to 50 pounds, and this actually helps you save a lot of space in your home just because it replaces all those particular dumbbells, right? Because that's a set of 10 dumbbells and just one pair of adjustable dumbbells and at least for me living here in a one bedroom apartment in New York City, it definitely helps me save a lot of space as you can see in the back over here

 And I also like the fact that the ends are flat. If you've done dumbbell branch press or dumbbell shoulder press and you've put the dumbbells on your knees and you've kicked them up to you, it doesn't like hurt your legs or it doesn't hurt your knees. You could obviously use chalk if you actually have chalk, but look, me being in a one bedroom apartment here in New York, I'm not going to be using chalk and dirty my living room. There's absolutely no way I'm going to be cleaning up the mess that I would make using chalk

 With the $369.99, you get really great value out of it. You get 10 sets of weights from five pounds all the way up to 50 pounds. That's essentially about $36 per set of weight and when you do the math and calculate the dollars for individual sets of dumbbells, you're definitely saving a lot of money as opposed to buying 10 individual sets of dumbbells from five to 50 pounds and you get all of that in just one pair of adjustable dumbbells, which definitely saves you a lot of space

  Fast forward to the era of working out at home again due to COVID-19. With recent, consistent use (about three weeks now), both dumbbells again have the same issue of cracked lips and are precarious to use. I sent an email to the company this evening in the hopes that I'll be able to receive replacement plates once again.  These dumbbells are between 3 - 4 stars

 And you don't want to slam these down for any exercises - even if you have padding for them to land on. Hopefully, the company comes up with a better design in the future.

 If the weights slide off mid-exercise (especially lifts like a bench or overhead press), they could land on your head. So, I advise being gentle with these weights. When you load them back into the base after an exercise, do it slowly and gently. Don't push them down hard or let them go even an inch above the base

Awesome set BUT they break easily

 today. coming in at 400, I would definitely buy them for that price. If these did break and I couldn't do some kind of warranty or swap out, I would right away buy these for 400 no questions asked. That's just me after using it for that five year period

 They are more pricey, but they have the upgrade I'm looking for. so come on Core Fitness and get an upgrade out there already.  So what are my final thoughts after using the Core Fitness home dumbbells for the past five years? First off, I am a huge huge fan Not of really their other products, but of these dumbbells. These are in my opinion the best 50 pound dumbbells you can buy on the market. today. coming in at 400, I would definitely buy them for that price

I had very little home workout gear before the pandemic. I picked up a few things here and there. **Was there any equipment that surprised you in how useful it was?**

I was amazed at how much I could do with just a pair of dumbbells and a little more volume.

What piece(s) of gear helped you through the pandemic?

 The cons were: 1. Too many negative reviews about product break down, product construction and most of all 2. Core not being responsive and truly standing behind their product. I personally have had it with the tack a lot of companies have taken with products and that is "Make junk, charge an arm and a leg for junk, then abandon the customer and not stand behind the product

It's ridiculous. Even four star reviews have product defects described as "not a big deal - I can live with it

 The positives here: 1. That single handle action/turn to the right weight. 2. The fact these increment 5# at a time (the Snode's 8# at a time -- workable, if you're seasoned at lifting, but quite a jump otherwise -- 5# increment is better especially in a DB)

 So that is it. That is my four year review of the Core Fitness adjustable Dumbbells. I hope you did like this review as I've really enjoyed these dumbbells over the past four years and again I think they are probably the best purchase I've ever made for my home gym and they are the product that has lasted the longest. so I'm really again happy with this product

 So those are the things I'm going to be looking into. They are pretty pricey right now, but I think if I can get them at a good price, I'll definitely buy them and compare them against these core fitness dumbbells. I don't see myself getting rid of these anytime soon unless something drastic happens and I find just some major win out of nowhere. But I will be testing other dumbbells just to see how it goes
