TL/DR: Works fine for the time being, but only because i already had a fully functional lighting node core built in to my corsair case  With that said...i almost returned it

 Now that we got that all out of the way, now it's time to actually install this cooler onto my CPU. So the first thing that I have to do before I actually install it is I have to apply new thermal paste. So that's exactly what I did. And after I apply thermal paste, I have to change the brackets on the pump head because of course the Intel brackets don't work with AMD motherboards

Even using the iCUE preset called "quiet" these two fans hum quite loudly when the CPU comes under any amount of usage. Sitting in a game menu? You may hear these fans over the lobby music. Only reason they get three stars is because it keeps the CPU cool very well and you lose the fan hum once you get in-game. Otherwise, the fans leave much to be desired

I used to use a Corsair h100i Elite Capellix in a 4000D case and the pump at minimum would run at 2200rpm which made an audible high-pitched sound. Was really annoying. Now I use a Noctua U12A and the sound is night and day difference.

I am planning on building a pc soon and one of the most important things to me is it being as silent as possible (I don’t want to hear it at all while wearing headphones) while also having high quality (1440p at least) graphics and high frame rates (120fps). Should I opt for a fan cooler or water cooler? I am going to get a rtx 3080, a ryzen 5 5600x, and a Corsair 4000d airflow for my case.

Air Cooled VS Water Cooled

 Not the end of the world since I have my own tools, but, if you are going to include the tool at least make it high quality enough to do the task you included the tool to do.

 The other qualm is the Allen key they included for changing the block cover. They used a rubbery plastic for it, and on mine the key was incapable of enough torque to turn the screws. Not the end of the world since I have my own tools, but, if you are going to include the tool at least make it high quality enough to do the task you included the tool to do.
