 So potentially that is something to bear in mind if you are considering spending a lot of money on a power supply. Are you going to keep your system for a few years? Are you thinking of potentially upgrading maybe next year, the year after? Just things may change. So that is something we all need to bear in mind. So on the front, some of the specs, so we have got the 80 plus gold rating

 That's the price on amazon.co.uk as of today. And there are actually options for this in Amazon's warehouse for around about 50 pounds

 Although, do bear in mind, this is only a 550 watt power supply. We've got around about 46 amps on the 12 volt rail, so do bear that in mind when you're considering graphics cards and other additional components. But they have a massive range of power supplies from the 550 all the way up to 1000 watts and probably beyond there as well. Comes in at a really good price, around about £75 here in United Kingdom

 So potentially, you could plug one into the wrong socket isn't really a big deal because they kind of use the same outputs anyway, but certainly do pay attention to that and make sure you put your sockets in the right one, or potentially, you may have a no boot situation on your PC when you first fire it up. So I think that is pretty much it. Overall, yeah, very impressed the quality, it just feels like a very premium product, obviously, is a very high tier power supply. There isn't much better you can get, especially when it comes to this kind of wattage, the 550 range, this being the 10 year warranty, what kind of good stuff, price wise, 75 pounds, I think is totally acceptable

Review of Corsair RM 550X

 psu:  Corsair RMx Series RM550X 550W. case:  Lian Li Lancool 215. keyboard: redragon kumara k552 (switch red).

 I have worked with computers for over 30 years, most of that as an IT professional and I have NEVER heard a power supply as loud as this. (SEE UPDATE BELOW) So one has to question WHY is it so loud? I should have listened to the reviews about the noise. I figured it can't really be that bad. It can

 When I installed the SSD, I removed modifications I made to vent heat from the video card. After this change, the power supply has been running quietly with only a bit of a whirring noise when I am using heavy graphics. So, I am revoking my previous 3 stars and adding another star because it seems with the right PC config, the power supply operates at a reasonable noise level - even at a superior noise level when not doing heavy graphics.

Planning to build a Ryzen 5 5600x/5800x (haven't decided yet) Build. Will be reusing my old 1050Ti (Wanna upgrade to a RTX 3080 in the future).  Initial Build attached below. RAM is 32 Gigs

I just need some help with the choice of my motherboard. Is the Gigabyte B550 DS3-H good enough for the 5600x/5800x?

As far as RAM is concerned, I have asked for a 2 x 16 GB 3600Mhz CL16 kit but they only have one in stock right now. I'm following up on that.

For Storage, I'm thinking of going with a 2TB 7200 RPM drive.

PSU - From what I've read, a 750 W Bronze PSU seems to be on the safer side for when I upgrade my GPU to a 3080.

I have absolutely no clue when it comes to cases. Is the Cooler Master K501L good enough. I'm willing to spend extra for a case with good airflow but I need some recommendations. 

So, Basically any part of the build that you guys think needs a change , please leave a comment below.
