So different times a year companies have overstock of stuff and when they have overstock, they sell things for a lot cheaper. or Black Friday close to Christmas when they have little stock, the price goes higher and you pay a little bit more

 These just pop out and that locks them in place. And here's how it looks. it's stable, smooth. I also like how it has a handle right here that makes it easy for carrying

Cheap work table for me to abuse

 actually has wide indentations on the short side, which you need as handles to open it easily. also had an interior plastic clasp that holds the table closed. while I'm concerned about the durability of the clasp, i actually like the change. i just don't like purchasing items that don't match the images for what's being sold

. the quality i had bought before. you might need a thicker table if you wanted 8 or so ballast to sit on it for years.
