 Now again, it's not going to compete with more expensive solutions out there and the fact that it lacks dolby digital support means that you're not going to really benefit when you're watching hd content versus non-hd content. In my case, i had to use the pcm input via hdmi arc, and this was somewhat of a kind of flaw, but other than that the surround sound effect does give you a better experience and at this price range again, it's very impressive to say the least And in comparison to the stage v1 is far superior in this domain. What i will also say is that the instrument separation is done really well, despite it having low number of drivers positioned inside the small size, sound bar, it does a phenomenal job at instrument separation and the overall width that you get. As i said before, specifically with the surround sound mode enabled, the depth could have been improved, but i think that's due to the size of the sound bar itself and, furthermore, the lack of upward and sideward firing speakers, which have really would have augmented the overall sound Experience that you get from the stage v2 - and this all leads me on to my verdict now the v1 came out at around 85 pounds, 85 dollars and now at the time of making this video, the v1 is around 10 pounds, 10 less expensive and a v2 Is more expensive at around 100 pounds or 100, but it is very much worth the extra investment not only got usb type-c inputs, but you've also got the better mid-range and the surround sound effects, which will truthfully be a big deal for a lot of people out There now for those people who have already got the stage v1, i don't think it's worth you spending extra money and potentially selling your old soundbar and getting the v2

Back in 2019, i reviewed the creative stage 2.1 and i found it to be one of the best budget, sound bars that money could buy. Now, in 2021, i'm presented with the stage v2 2.1 now in this review, i'll be comparing it to its predecessor and seeing if the extra money is worth your well hard-earned cash

 First, off in terms of wired, you've got a optical input which is really used for older generation televisions and if you've got a newer generation television which has hdmi arc, that's the mode. I would very much suggest you to use in my case. Jaw dropped as to what you can actually get at this price. Now, as for the highs, they extend really well and provide you that kind of nice crystal sound at the top end without sounding too sibilant or harsh

LG C1 – 77 inch. Recommendations for a home theatre/Soundbar system

 The new PC has S/PDIF out and, sure enough, this sound system supports that. The subwoofer doesn't need its own power supply, instead being powered over the 3.5mm from the sound bar (a reversal from the typical 2.1 setup), and it's certainly neater when it comes to cable management for it

I bought this as a replacement for my 2015 2.1 PC Speaker setup, also from Creative, with a new PC (with a Gigabyte motherboard allegedly more capable in the audio department, but with some serious caveats). The new PC has S/PDIF out and, sure enough, this sound system supports that. The subwoofer doesn't need its own power supply, instead being powered over the 3

 It has a remote (supply your own two AAA batteries), which is good because the soundbar controls are extremely limited. The audio was a modest improvement from the more conventional 2.1 speakers it replaced, I think.

Good looking, relatively easy to set up, but arguably not for PC speakers...

I recently bought a new A80J and have been lurking in this thread off and on for tips and tricks, etc.  One question I have and I’m hoping some folks here can help with, is about soundbars. I had no idea first of all that they were so expensive, yikes.  That said, Best Buy seems to have two mid-range options by Sony, the HTZ9F, and the HTG700.  Overall, these are 3.1 systems that appear to support Dolby Atmos.  Do folks agree that sticking with Sony branded soundbars is the best idea with a Bravia tv?  Anyone have experience with these particular models?  I currently have a basic 2.0 Vizio soundbar that supports some version of Dolby and is plugged in with an optical cable, but it’s old, outdated, and I sometimes struggle to clearly hear voice over other sounds in the background.  Would a middle-of-the-road soundbar like the 2 Sony models I mentioned be a noticeable improvement?  I’m not obsessed with volume and raw power, more interested in quality and clarity.  In terms of the differences between them, it looks like the more expensive model is very similar except that it offers wifi, app support, and HDMI HDCP 2.2 connection.  What are the real-world benefits of these upgrades to an average user?  What does a soundbar need wifi for?  Is it really worth $200 extra?  Also, I stream all my content to the tv through built-in apps and an older Bluetooth player. Is the best way to hook either of these new soundbars up to the TV with the optical digital audio cable I’m currently using or would it be preferable to use HDMI?  I obviously have a lot to learn about all this. Appreciate any help.</p>

Soundbar Options

  I tried both USB mode and bluetooth mode. In USB mode once plugged in the volume up and down keyboard controls no longer work. But it's ok. But the bigger issue seems to be that the sound would randomly go away completely and the remote would stop working as well

  Lastly, the remote could be better designed as well, the + and - button on the bottom are meant for bass and treble control - it would've been better if they are for actual volume control, in my opinion.  Not good enough for me. Returning.

 The sound quality is definitely better than my stock iMac, although nothing to write home about - I guess you get what you paid for. The subwoofer is relatively punchy so that's a plus. The back wall is around 6 m away from the sofa. Does it worth an atmos sound bar or should I just go for a simpler 2.1 or 3.1?

Bad atmos or good 2.1

 After a few days I turned the TV on and lost the ability to control the volume of the soundbar. Tried misc things to fix it, eventually found pulling the power cord resets everything and the volume control returns…until I turn off the TV again. Messed around w/ Creative’s “tech support” who basically tell you, “try this…if that doesn’t work, try the opposite!” So long that now I can’t return this. Lots of others in the comments have this issue too so it’s clearly the soundbar, not the TV

Would love if anyone had any good recommendations for a decent soundbar around the $300-500 mark? Could go a bit higher if it's really worth the jump.

Soundbar recommendations

Using this with an older model Sony TV in a bedroom to improve sound/dialog. And it does just that ..

 This, of course, goes against the rationale for buying the system in the first place. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and/or just haven't hit on the proper connection sequence to get a consistent operation of the unit. I'll keep fooling around until perhaps I can get it right.
