For my first pocket knife. I really like it but the clip wasn't build very sturdy. I did lots of research on which brands were good and which ones were best for different lifestyles and I gravitated towards this knife as I don't need some bulky knife in my line of duty but I kept it around for that "just in case" scenario. Never used and abused it and somehow the clip broke, I like the knife itself but the clip is very disappointing

So I am going to a wedding tomorrow and decided to get the CRKT CEO as a gentleman’s carry for it. And boy do I absolutely hate it after messing with it after buying it. i’ve never hated a knife before but this takes the cake. It’s so thin of a handle and the way you hold it to open the blade the pocket clip is right in the way, the thumb stud is like the size of a pencil eraser it is so small and hurts my thumb to try and deploy the blade, and if you are not pushing the tiny thumb stud at the right angle it will not budge at all

 i’ve never hated a knife before but this takes the cake. It’s so thin of a handle and the way you hold it to open the blade the pocket clip is right in the way, the thumb stud is like the size of a pencil eraser it is so small and hurts my thumb to try and deploy the blade, and if you are not pushing the tiny thumb stud at the right angle it will not budge at all. There is no option to swap the pocket clip either so it’s stuck in its awkward position. For being a top 10 seller on BladeHQ, I can’t believe how much I hate it

Unpopular Opinion?

 The lock up is solid and I'm confident it's not going to fail under any normal use. Over all I think this is a very good deal for the money and just has a few downsides that stop it from being a dedicated EDC knife but for it's intended role it's money well spent and I doubt you will be disappointed if you're looking for a dress/office knife. The blade scales do look like carbon fiber and the over all look of this knife really makes a subtle and classy statement.  I would only deduct half a star if I could since I was fully aware of certain things like tip down carry before I ordered so I can't knock it too hard for that but I would like to have seen the blade centered up perfectly

 I would've paid a few bucks more for a better steel, but it's easy to sharpen and certainly not a deal breaker on a knife that only gets carried occasionally and isn't getting put to work all day long. The blade did come shaving sharp but I had to strop it to really make it shave effortlessly. The lock up is solid and I'm confident it's not going to fail under any normal use. ) Case teardrop pattern with wharncliffe blade. This guy fits in a pants pocket, feels smooth as a bar of soap, and just does the routine stuff like cutting pills, opening envelopes, cutting coupons, impromptu whittling, etc. like it was born for the task.  2

 Keep in mind this is not the off the cuff review the day I got it. Have had this several mos. I thought this knife felt awkward and didn't work with my long slim fingers. It went in my aforementioned tub of knives that I bought cause they looked good on paper but didn't work for me

 These are perfect to keep at your desk in a mug of pens ready to cut your fruit or lunch.  Neither #1 or #2 has a tactical look to make you look like the Dwight Shrute of your office, and are perfect EDC/ use knives IMHO.  But wanting a small unobtrusive locker I bought this piece. So onto this knife and the subject of this review

You'll really like this once you learn the thumb stud (see method in last paragraph of my review)
