Hello guys!

So myself and a couple of neighbours in my building would like to setup a projector outside for the summer times to do some movie nights for our building but I've been a bit overwhelmed in the choices available on the market so I'm not quite sure what to get hahah.

The way we'd like to setup is that we have a very large cement floor over our parking spot right now that is pretty much unused so we'll buy some outdoor furniture and setup a projector there, we would then setup a pull-down screen on the balcony a floor over.

The screen maximum size would be 162"x 108" (so 162" x 91" for proper ratio) and the projector would be roughly 20 to 30' away on the lower level. We're not looking at like 4K 3D hyper quality but something that would give us 1080p would be pretty awesome! The place is completely dark at night once everyone close their light so I'm not too worried about that part! Of course, I'm not sure if it's relevant to mention, but the projector would obviously not be kept there at all time and would only be taken out for those movie night. 

I have some friends working for IT resellers that could provide the projectors at close to cost but, I've got not clue where to start looking, so hopefully you guys can assist us in making this thing happen haha! =) Any advices from people who did something similar are welcome of course!

However, I would also like to experiment with using it for home automation and an interactive display for it. For example, id like to use it as an interface for Spotify to play music in the house. So my first question is, is there a type of projector that would be ideal for being turned on for a majority of the day? Secondly, I cannot use nails or screws in the wall for mounting a screen, and I would like to avoid using a big screen stand in my living room. What is a good lumen value for projecting in a mostly dimly lit room just straight onto a wall? Also, what kind of budget should I be aiming for? Ideally I’d like to spend $600-$800 total, but I’m willing to spend more if needed. Lastly, should I splurge on a 4K projector? I’ve seen mixed views on whether or not this is worth it, but I’d like you hear your opinions.
