 We will not be wearing rubber boots because we will not. We refuse to sweat from the knee down and so we're going to be wearing Danner prone horns check them out. 

 We try not to be. We want something comfortable that lasts and is waterproof throughout the season. I don't know if there's a more popular hunting boot out there than the Danner pronghorn and we got the new ones. The brand new Danner pronghorn we're gon na be hunting out of early part of season and the reason I say, I'm not sure, there's a more popular boot out there there's a lot of guys that have wore all kinds of different boots, but the Danner pronghorn has Stood the test of time: it's got a Vibram sole super lightweight, it's gore-tex, so it's waterproof and a lot of Cheaper boots out there that are waterproof

 So you can have your choice of insulation packages there, several of the things that we've kind of made improvements on the pronghorn. First of all, it has a vibram outsole now and specifically that vibram outsole is a mega grip. Compound mega grip is just, as its name implies, a rubber compound that stays more supple in colder temperatures and therefore you get good traction again. You can still slip on the ice, obviously, but you get better traction under circumstances where other boots will get hard and slippery

 But if you do that, i think you'll be very pleased with the life of the boot and with the comfort of the boot and finally kind of a trademark with the pronghorn series. Is this the amount of support you get out of this product, both torsionally and laterally, is outstanding in relation to its weight. There are certainly products out there that give more torsional and lateral support, but they also tend to weigh a lot more and pronghorn. Is that great combination of yes, it's lightweight, but unlike most lightweight products, it's not going to fold up on you when you're on rugged terrain or a steep slope, causing your muscles and tendons and ligaments to strain themselves

Another upgrade to this product would be the fact that we're using primaloft insulation in it and that insulation uh is just more efficient for its bulk. So you get more warmth out of primaloft in at a given weight and that can be kind of confusing to the consumer as a customer, you think well, 400 grams should be 400 grams, but 400 grams is a weight per square meter of that insulation and 400 Grams of primaloft is warmer than 400 grams of thinsulate, so a better insulation, a better outsole

 Sierra and Grouse going on 3-4 seasons with little show in wear, very scuffed and scratched, but still going strong. I returned these. On the plus side, they did feel comfy, but I do not need 8" slippers for around the house.

I LOVE Danner's and have three hiking boots and two hunting boots (all American made) and got these to be for knock-around everyday, okay, the box says Danner but very quickly I could see the quality was not there. Compared to my Sierras or Grouse, it just did not feel like it would last more than half a year. Narrow for size

Runs a little small, 11.5 is usually what I wear but need a 12 in these shoes. Walk down a set of stairs before keeping these to make sure your toes are not being smashed like mine were.

I returned & purchased directly from Danner (thinking maybe the ones from Amazon were counterfeit), but the 2nd pair was just as bad
