DR. MARTENS JADON REVIEW (watch before you buy...)

 The former British oldies were military work boots. But my coworker raves about the comfort. So, I purchased the Jardons. Mostly because of the zipper

 The tongue pulls to the side and will not straighten out. Requires monthly conditioning (shoe grease) or the leather well probably crack. My pair are already showing creases, which experience shows will crack in drier weather conditions. Overall: not worth the price point

 I’m still breaking these darn things in. What I like: the look, zipper, high polish, easy to clean, squishy soles (adds to comfort on concrete), adds a bit of height. What I don’t like: pain to break in (still), hard on the heel (rubbing), sub-standard quality, price. I’ll elaborate on the quality

 As an adult (old man) and working in a profession that requires lots of walking and standing, a coworker recommended these relics of the past. After much research, I viewed Dr Mart as more fashion than work boot. The former British oldies were military work boots. But my coworker raves about the comfort

My first pair of docs

SO CUTE

 I bought my first pair from this company back in 2015 and have worn them practically everyday since. I loved them so much that I bought the burgundy pair as well. As with all Dr Marten boots, there's a steep "break in" curve of comfort. And honestly, I really didn't notice how well they ended up form-fitting to my feet until I had to start breaking the burgundy pair in

 Martens - but the platforms are the reason I got these in particular. (every millimeter counts when you're only 5'2) I've read a few comments and questions about the weight of the boots - they ARE heavier than "normal", as I've had plenty of people remark after trying them on - but give it a few days and you won't even notice the weight. If anything, "normal" shoes will feel too light after wearing these full time.  Now for my sad sob story (aka the reason I'm writing this review) - just this past weekend the zipper broke on my black pair

 The zipper lasted two years of me violently beating them up.  The rest of the boot is in perfectly good working order so I plan on getting the zipper fixed to save as a backup pair. I decided to buy a new pair because cosmetically - well, they've been through a lot. I've had chemicals spilled on them in class (you're told to not wear open toed shoes in chem lab for a reason), and they're scuffed to hell and back

 I even put a ProFoot insert in them to no avail. Then I looked inside my favorite pair of Docs and lo and behold, unlike the ProFoot insert which is only the back half of the foot, my favorite Docs had a FULL length arch support insert. I swapped it into the Jadons, and voila, they fit beautifully! With the zipper, these are so easy to put on and take off quickly -- a wonderful feature!  2) Comparison (all with a full-length insole) Jadon -- These are feel like a standard pair of Docs, only with a sweet "make me taller!" sole. They are SUPER comfortable! I wore them yesterday and walked around a convention for several hours, then for the remainder of the evening

 I wear a 10-10.5 wide shoe, yet in the 8UK/42/10USW Jadons, my foot was swimming in the toe box. I even put a ProFoot insert in them to no avail. Then I looked inside my favorite pair of Docs and lo and behold, unlike the ProFoot insert which is only the back half of the foot, my favorite Docs had a FULL length arch support insert

 Unfortunately I can't wear them for more than a few hours at a time because it's too much pressure on the bridge of my foot, under the laces. Now that the Clemency and Jadon have come along, I may retire these for special occasions only. Winner: I think the Jadons will be my boot-of-choice very soon!  Pro tip: Wear nylons! Docs are notoriously painful to break in, and I was worried the Jadons would cause the same issues. These didn't cause me any pain at all and already feel like they're molded to my feet

 I've also gotten more used to them, so they don't look at big as when I first saw them.  I definitely recommend these boots to anyone who wishes to buy them, as I am a first time buyer from doc martens, I can confirm they are very nicely made boots with good comfort and looks!

  When I got the shoes I noticed that they were my size length wise but in the toe area I get space up and down so I can comfortably move them around. Concerning the fitting of the boot, they weren't tight but still stayed well fit on my foot. At first I thought that maybe its because they were too big for me by about half a size, but I've realized that I actually quite like the feel of the boots not being tight fitting, as it allows you to comfortably wear the shoe from the start without having issues breaking them in. It also allows you to be able to wear thicker socks without the shoe becoming too tight on your foot

 I have quite smaller and skinnier feet. I am a women's size 6(US) and I decided for these that i would buy my size.  When I got the shoes I noticed that they were my size length wise but in the toe area I get space up and down so I can comfortably move them around.  Also if you have wider feet it is probably best to stick with your size or maybe go down by ½ as the shoes could mold to your feet if they are tight. I did notice though that the shoes seems bigger and chunkier in person than I initially thought they would, but the more I have worn and looked at them, the more obsessed I have become with how they look. Advice for sizing concerns!

So everybody I need to take a second and write this review because I love these boots but I was very skeptical and nervous after reading many of the reviews * it was very confusing because some people would say that you have to size up and other people would say you have to size down it was very confusing but I felt I knew what I was doing and I went with my gut instinct I decided to go one size down from what I usually buy from u.s. shoes I'm usually an 8 in every shoe I wear from the US but with this shoe I ordered a size 7 I thought that. Would be the best thing to do well I was right everybody I made a good decision they fit perfectly I tried them on with a normal sock and they fit it excellent I would say the best thing to do is go down one size if you want them to fit tight and not loose I don't really like loose boots because they're hard to walk in I wanted boots that fit perfect I want to boots that felt comfortable and these were great one size down from what I normally wear I chose a seven

I bought a 7 and they fit excellent I would really highly recommend going down one size

these. SHOES!!! lemme tell u abt these beauties…… they arrived right on time in the original doc martens box, w wrapping and the tags on and everything! beautiful! authentic! love! i nearly cried when i saw them, they were THAT pretty.. i was kinda skeptical of em being too small at first because they looked TINY in comparison to my stretched out v worn in year old 1460’s, but i think that must be the effect of the platform! the laces are more chunky and a lil shorter than the 1460’s as well, but that’s nothing to complain abt… all in all they’re So??? Gorgeous? and fit PERFECTLY? i am in LUV! <3

beautiful boots !!

I’ve been wanting these shoes for so long and I finally decided to buy them for myself and it was the best decision ever. They arrived just as expected and I was a little worried I wasn’t going to like them but I love them! I would suggest going a size down since the toe area fits a little big but for me, that’s perfect because I wear double socks with the shoe anyways! I would also suggest buying silicon heel sleeves to protect from blisters because it’s really common to get blisters from these shoes if worn for too long, but I’ve known that and love them anyways because they’re just so cute!

Arrived just as excepted and I love them!
