Ultimately, my feeling on the periodic here is that this is a really nice pardon me. This is a really nice first step for a bunch of folks out there in the world, because it'll show you what a compact layout does

I recently found your Sub and I'm amazed about all the thoughts you put into ergonomic keyboards! I'm a CS-Student and like the most of you I spend the majority of my day writing on a keyboard. Because I have pain in my wrests when spending a lot of time writing I want a ergonomic keyboard.  


I already looked into some of your beginner posts, but I still feel a little bit lost where I should start. 

I live in Germany and here some of the stores mentioned in some posts aren't available. I'm a little bit afraid to build my own keyboard, but with some efforts I could make that work.  


My two biggest questions are:

1. What Layout should I use for long fingers and big hands? I looked into the Iris Layout, but I'm not sure if it would fit my metrics.
2. Where can I buy the parts for the build? [Candykeys](https://candykeys.com/product/iris-rev-4-pcb-plate) has a PCB and Plate for the Iris, but I'm not really sure what parts I need in addition to those two.

Is there any thread or complete beginner guide for ergo keyboards?

Where to start as beginner?

The legends are painfully off center; particularly the T, Y, U, and I. Additionally the keys have a small bit of rough plastic coming off the side where they disconnected from the mold. I’m half convinced these are fraudulent, Drop caps are usually top tier. I’m very disappointed in these quality issues and they’ll make me reconsider any purchases from Drop in the future

Painfully off center legends

Quality seemed nice out of the box no rattle or imperfections. Everything tested out ok, but soon after was already having issues with keystrokes in certain areas missing and doubles. Tried different switches and qmk but with no difference would still on occasion double up or not register. Requested refund maybe look at other models on drop
