**EQD Avalanche Run V2**: I got this after selling my Timeline and Bigsky that I'd had for a few years. I was so tired of just jumping between presets and each song feeling like a totally different palette. It was just hard to get consistency between tones between songs. Simplifying that into a single pedal felt like a breathe of fresh air.

I don't know your situation but the V2 is going for $299 on sweetwater brand new, even cheaper used on reverb (that is if you want to spend a little extra on the V2). You can take the extra money and get an expression pedal, or a chorus like the Corona from TC Electronics to stack with it. I'm happy with the sounds I've gotten with that. As for the Walrus pedal, I don't have any experience with it, so I can't say with certainty how it stacks up, I'm just saying I have good experiences with the Avalanche Run.

I'm an ambient musician and my most useful pedals are my Walrus Audio Slö, EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run, and Electro-harmonix Superego. I'd say the Slö is best for pads and full on ambient verby goodness, but the Avalanche Run gives you some delay too. You also get swells and reverse delay sounds.
