The Elegoo Saturn is the counterpart to the smaller Elegoo Mars series of printers, which offer solid build quality for a reasonable price.  I don't know what the pricing is. Gon na be for replacement screens, if you need those how often you're gon na need those, but it should be. You know hundreds of hours of printing before you're gon na need a screen replacement fingers crossed and again I don't have the exact pricing of what this will be. The standard price, once this is listed on the places like Amazon, but as soon as I do I'll, have links now below or you can pick it up and it helps the channel out when you buy from the links down below

 Do not look directly at that panel. I'M not a good example here should be wearing my my safety glasses there, but one of the switches, nuts, which is one of the wires here on the front right side of the unit, just looks like it got knocked loose. So I was able to push that back in place and yeah everything's now connected and it's lighting up properly. So I'm going to rerun my test that I was just running here a second ago and we'll give it a shot

 You don't have to worry about, scraping it off as it's printing or anything like that. Nice, big knob, everything is pretty much all metal with its design and functionality here, which is just again great, build quality wise, as I mentioned in that beta video, I'm really loving the VAT for this. It has these little feet here. That'Ll not only make it easy for you to register it here on the printer itself, so they just kind of slide it into place there and you know it's in place, but it also makes it great that if you wanted to sit this down on a tabletop You'D have to worry about the fehb sheet resting on your tabletop, and then we have the 4k 8

Elegoo Saturn - 4k Mono Screen Resin 3D Printer! Initial Impressions

This is probably just my making an excuse to not pull the trigger. But, I've read some posts that other products are in the works. Besides increased print size, what are some of the features that Prusa afficianados are eagerly hoping for that may make it into this/these new products? Convince me to pull the trigger :)

Elegoo Saturn Resin 3D Printer Review After 4 Months

 * The biggest things to fail and can be readily replaced fairly easily. * There is far less tinkering with the physical machine to get it working and moreso on the print settings, which I see as equivalent for both types of machine.

I am considering buying in a 3d printer.

In the past I was dubious to invest 700+ USD on a tool I might use as a new toy for 2 weeks and then never use again. 

I usually considered "Prusa printer" as a reasonable reference model.

I recently saw the new Elegoo Neptune 3 printer, it has great reviews and it costs almost half / a third of a Prusa printer.  
At 200\~300 USD I might be willing to roll the dice on the risk of not finding a real semi-regular use.  


I would like to know:

Q1) How do you handle the risk of "ending in a drawer" ?

Q2) How come Elegoo is so much cheaper than Prusa, where is the catch ?

Q3) Any specific recommendation of beginner printer, and why ?

ps: for context I am electronics engineer, with strong programming experience, and built a reprap 10 years ago (that a friend kept). I do not have much experience of mechanics, nor 3d design (I know zero of the former, and have reasonable theoretical knowledge of the later).

First 3d printer: Prusa vs Elegoo vs ???

Perfect printer but

 Now, it's all powered up. It'S going to light up green here to let you know that it's already powered on and working and should be sucking in any of the excess fumes that are coming off of any of the prints that you have and filtering those out. The vat also has a max fill line so that you know exactly how much resin you should be pouring in to the vat here. I'M using some of this elgoo mint green resin

 Wash and cure unit now, let's talk about what it can actually print. So the first thing i went off and did was just run some basic, quick calibration prints on the resin that i was working with just to validate that the current settings that i had for my standard saturn would still carry over here and translate properly to the Saturn s and i'm happy to see that they did denny's wang has a file here. That'S a really easy, quick calibration print that i loaded up and ran along with the psoriatech calibration print. Here i didn't even fully run this one here
